Depends on what regularly is defined…I keep a Goldwing in my Cabin in Alaska…I ride it every summer(3 months out of the year)…average about 250-750 miles a season depending on the rain…change the oil, put the tires on mats, plug in the charger and there it sits…but…I consider it regularly ridden each year🤷‍♂️

Hayabusa!! Im doing a complete restomod on a 2001. No bolt left unturned. Stripped 6 paint jobs off the gas tank and ripped 20lb of aftermarket LEDs off of it. Its getting murdered out, super dark frame, treated block, jet black super gloss tank, rims, and fairings. Maybe burnt orange kanji and rim accents, IDK yet... maybe suzuki blue. Don't get me wrong, when it gets listed on ebay it will have a ridiculous reserve price, but it will basically be a brand new Busa with boost.

5,000 miles on a 25yr old vehicle? Sus. How many engine components need to be replaced since it's not being driven. Sure, the plastics look mint. The seals, gaskets, etc. are probably all shot. I bet the first one needs a lot less maintenance, despite the battle scars.

This was a fun video, Yammie. Thank you, for posting it. I would warn anyone buying any shaft drive bike to pay close attention to gear whine. About twenty years ago, I went to buy an old, all black, Honda Aspencade. Pretty nice looking bike, considering the high miles it had on it. The guy let me take it on a test ride. Within a mile, I knew I was never buying it. The rear gear whine, sounded like a thousand screaming goats, trying to get out of the back of the rear gear case. I turned it around, drove it back to him, and just said thanks, but not buying today. I will never forget the awful sound and vibration that rear gear made.

it is a stock exhaust - my 2nd gen SV650S still has the stock exhaust, and I *LOVE* it. its so quiet! I have definitely noticed a difference in how car drivers react to me in traffic compared to how they react when I ride my CB1000 with the MAC 4into1 exhaust. I am truly invisible now - no cars trying to prevent me from splitting, no honks as I zip past cars, and I even get an occasional "whats up?" nod at traffic lights now.....and the bike is still light as a feather and quick af. I would have almost no reservations about flying to Tampa from the opposite corner of the contiguous US, plunking down the money, and riding that first Goldwing back to the Northwest. Vehicles--especially motorcycles--don't wind up with over 100,000 miles on the odometer simply by happenstance. Although the ad is pretty vague, I wouldn't be surprised if the owner had a VERY detailed service history on the bike.

Never believe a seller on the internet, their goals contradict yours. Also keep in mind that it was not uncommon to see the speedo cable disconnected, for no other reason that the cable might break if wound-up to 160mph. On the flip side motorcycles sit... everyone wants one, few like to ride em. Especially sportbikes like Busas, most Busa riders are like, "I'm the fastest in this paking lot, check out my rotating mass multiplying 240 tire."
