I tried this foundation yesterday but since I was only going to the old house to do some fixing/cleaning, I applied it with my fingers to get the SPF and smooth out my skintone. No powder, nothing. I'm oily and I honestly would tell most to avoid a lot of powder after applying because it is REALLY matte. But it did last all day for me without getting shiny. And I enjoyed the finish! Overall, I like it a lot. I think it'd look awesome to add a little of the original CC cream to the matte version for a really beautiful look.

I am so happy they have ore neutral colors! I love the regular cc cream, but the colors were to yellow based for me, so I am anxious to try this. I love the powders too! Sometimes I mix them with moisturizers to thin the coverage out a little. Great review!

Wow, Lisa. Right now the bye bye Foundation oil-free matte is 50% off at Ulta so I decided to watch your review again, of the oil free matte cc cream. It just goes to show you that wearing things in different ways such as not using the moisturizer or using primer instead, as you did, and also not using the powder and so forth... All of these things make a difference. I'm so glad I watched this through to the end so that I could see final verdict for myself. Gives me an idea of what will change the outcome should I order this in the oil-free matte finish. Thanks!

I bought the same QVC special value for the matte IT CC creme matte. It looks beautiful on you! I’m in my early 60’s and still very oily in the skin department which is frustrating but has kept wrinkles at bay. I love the original so I was thrilled to see the matte! I haven’t used it yet but I can’t wait (long story lol). Good to hear it’s more coverage and better than the original. You look SPECTACULAR with this foundation just so you know. I saw on QVC IT has a primer that’s new. I wonder how that works with the matte CC creme. Your skin looks healthy. Very good review for such a long check-in which help immensely. Thanks Lisa. So many of my IT brushes have come from a QVC bundle! It’s awesome because you basically get a brush for free with almost any bundle and I would have a very hard time spending that much money on a single brush even though I do love them. So excited for this review!

Thanks for the great review. I am still finding my way with this new CC. It's been over a week & I've tried every which way EXCEPT your final way, which was to go sans moisturizer & primer. That goes against every fiber of my being .... LOL But I am willing to give it a try. What I DO love is the powder & the brush, so even if the CC does not end up being a favorite, I will keep the set because of those two items, which are totally worth the price. I use the CC+ 50 SPF in light in the winter & medium the rest of the year. I do prefer minimal coverage, but as I am 58, I do want the coverage, blurring, whatEVER for my pores, so that why I wanted to try something more full coverage. Another great review....hope you will keep us posted as you wear it more. ~ Julie

I’m not sure if this helps but I’ve found that it applies best - and more natural finish - if I apply with my fingers then blend further with a damp sponge. Of course that’s with the original and luminous CC Creams, but it’s maybe worth a try with this one!

Lisa, thanks so much for the review! I also use the it cosmetics CC and just bought the new matte CC cream to replace it. Haven’t Tried it yet but now so looking forward to it. I wanted to ask, I have a bit of rosacea and get some blotchiness on my cheeks from a medication. Do you think this will cover it well? Also, months ago 8 had asked you about what product to use for my non-existent eyebrows due to cancer. Also, my hair on my head is darker brown with silver thrown in so many colors were too reddish for me. You recommended trying a pomade. I admit I was skeptical, but I tried a few different products. I have found THE ONE. It’s L’Oréal Brow Stylist Frame & Set in blonde. Perfect ashy color and it stays all day (and use of a setting spray)! Thank you so very much! And thank you also for all of the amazing videos. Hope it cools off in Austin. I’m outside of Portland, Oregon, and we’ve had upper 90’s for the past week plus. Can’t wait for fall! ❤️❤️

Wonderful review Lisa! It looked gorgeous in you ones you put the powder on but it's still never really looked matte! I must admit I like that, I love to glow but I'm conflicted. I have dry to normal skin but in the summer it is more normal so the CC cream illumination that I normally love just doesn't last enough time in the humidity and heat... Especially in my nose! Lol so I'm not sure if I should get the CC illumination or this new one! But the deal is amazing! I love my Face Atelier but in the summer it's probably smarter to wear makeup with SPF. Lisa-You are the absolute best at explaining "How, when, why, where" in the make up world. Could you do a "sponge" comparison, Morphe, Beauty Blender, Eco, Real Techniques and whatever you have. I cannot believe the difference in them. I just purchased the tan BB, had the pink for 2 years and this one is the softest one I have ever felt! jillf24 never ever keep a sponge for 2 years. I guarantee you if you would have cut it open there would have been mold and all kind of yucky stuff inside of they sponge!!! You need toss any sponge idc if it’s a 20.00 beauty blender or the shopmissA AOA paw paw blender 1.55 (the best dupe for the beauty blender) seriously make sure your tossing your sponges atleast every 3 months. If your looking for a cheaper alternative because it’s expensive to spend 20 dollars on a sponge every 2 months 3 maximum! The shopmissA paw paw blender is wonderful, elf purple/pink sponge it’s the same shape as RT sponge, RT beauty sponge is okay!

Lisa, everything looks gorgeous on your beautiful skin. The second day's finish does look even more beautiful. I've purchased so many foundations in the past year that my makeup drawers are overflowing with them trying to find good coverage, something that doesn't break me out, yet doesn't look aging. I've only used iT Cosmetics brushes after trying a bit of the CC cream at Ulta and not really liking the consistency of it. I may have to try this one after your review. Just ordered and received some other goodies from QVC along with the Nordstrom sale too. They do have great beauty deals! Hey, have you tried the Jouer foundation? Would love to see a review of that one. Have several samples and ordered a full bottle as I'm always on the hunt for the best foundation for my crazy skin!

Great video ! Lisa, is the neutral medium darker or lighter than just medium? My other IT cc cream is medium, I don’t get in the sun much so it looks a little dark on me . They didn’t give the options other than light, medium, or tan when I purchased the regular CC cream. I have olive tones and the light was to light . 🌺🙋🏻‍♀️🌸🎨💅🏼

It looks very pretty on you but it is definitely heavier looking, to me, than the other foundations you like to wear. Very pretty though! I'd love a tutorial on your eyes....they always look gorgeous. I really like the bundles of products on QVC. I have actually received several IT Cosmetic brushes through the bundles. I got the same kit from QVC. I also got the Benefit happy from HSN. I love taking advantage of easy pay. I think ill use a primer and apply it with a sponge and set it with powder since im oily. Great review 😃

I just ordered this from QVC as well they have a similar set today to when they sell out 39.99 the same brush, matte CC cream, super hero mascara and bye bye pores powder and a lip balm/tint. I was like heck yea bought it ASAP soon as I seen this set! I also bought the bye bye undereyes concealer and heavenly lux brush its the largest size of the concealer they offer almost a full OZ which is unheard of in a concealer.

Hi Lisa, I super miss watching your videos, like the whole video without interruption😃! I ordered this the day it released and was so excited. The regular CC cream is so shiny on me I had hoped this was the answer. Such a let down. I’m 53 with dry, textured skin and this settled in lines and exaggerate the texture and pores horribly. I always moisturize first and tried using with and without a primer. Both ways seemed to apply patchy. I’m going to try again today without moisturizer first and using the powder. If that doesn’t work I give up lol. Thanks Lisa! Laura have you tried it with a damp sponge? I liked it better that way than with a brush and build a little more coverage on my nose area where I need it. Maybe that would help!

Sarah, I did not. I only tried my fingers and a brush. I use a sponge on other products so I don’t know why I didn’t try that. I will give that a try because I need more on my nose also. Thank you!

Hi Lisa, that was a really great and informative video, I thought this foundation looked so pretty on you. I love my IT CC foundation, I use it on just normal days when I want light coverage and extra sunscreen. You were more pleased when you used it over the Hourglass primer, would you say that is normally the case when you are wearing any of your foundations? I soon will need a new primer and maybe I should get that one.

I think that I will be adding this to my list! I love the other two IT CC Creams but have the same issue with wearability. I am a little worried about the transfer through. Did you notice if the powder locked it down good enough, so if you happen to touch your face, it won't show? I saw that on the first day there was a place on your nose, but didn't see anything on the 2nd with primer day. Thanks for a great review! ♥

Lisa, I have mentioned how I enjoy your balanced mix of products and tips and tutorials. I have an issue that I think many of your subscribers would be interested. That would be how to cover various skin issues. I have some light scarring on my face not too much color and a little bit of texture in a small area. I find that foundation seems to emphasize it - I've tried full coverage, medium coverage, light coverage and it still makes it more noticeable. I spend what seems like a lot of time blending and covering it. I have found a concealer that is a good match but it still takes too much time in the morning. I would love some tips and ideas on how to achieve that flawless look. I think that those with acne or hyperpigmentation would benefit from the ideas also. HELP!!

So the matte isn’t drying or caking? It’s suppose to conceal pores as well. Which of their concealer do you recommend for dark circles? Choosing a colour will be a dilemma for me..I’m a neutral medium, I think! Did you use the bye bye powder?

The original IT CC would always get so oily and shiny, it also broke up between my eyebrows, corners of my nose and chin...I am not combo, I am actually full on OILY skin...I was thinking seriously about trying this but now I know it will be a waste of money for me...they would need an actual Matte formula for me....I love IT products...thanks for the review.

Awesome review so detailed and in depth. I have to say that the first day you applied it I did not like it at all on you your face always has a natural finish to it and the first day you applied it your skin looked too made up and heavy. I loved the way it looked on you the 2nd day - at the 7 pm check up it still looked really nice on you. I saw somewhere (I think IG) where it cosmetics said a primer and moisturizer is NOT needed have you thought about trying it without either?

I used an oil free moisturizer, and primer only on the t zone and cheeks. It worked really well. One thing though is the shades run dark. I got the light, and it was waaaaay too dark for me. Went to Sephora and got the fair shade.
