It deserves better treatment and attention. Old ax restored to its former glory || Restoration
Hello Everyone
After a long break since I posted the last video, it's time to finally do some restoration. Those who follow me and my work know that I have never made such a gap between videos. I hope that this will not be the case in the future.
In today's video, I will restore an old ax that I bought at a flea market. I thought that it is still not for scrap and that it can still serve. After the restoration, I'm pretty sure it can.
I hope you liked the video and enjoyed it.
All comments, criticisms and suggestions are welcome.

Great looking axe but that handle (while attractive) seems like it would be a weak link?

Very cool looking project sir! Very unusual. What is the hole in the axe used for? I have never seen one like that. 👍🎥✌

Thank you for everything my friend. I'm glad you like what I did with this axe. The hole in the middle serves to remove larger nails. You are familiar with the standard method for extracting smaller nails (gap at the head of the axe). A big greeting for you

@@johnwheatley2815 Exactly. For removing larger nails. When the head of the nail passes through the hole, the axe is pushed to the side and the nails are removed using this hole. The top serves for smaller nails.

I don't agree with this. Should have kept it shinny. The linseed oil makes the handle slippery and the axe becomes uncontrollable.

I've never had a problem with that, I've made a lot of them in the same style. The handle absorbs oil in a couple of hours and is completely dry. There are several similar projects on my channel, if I had noticed any irregularity or danger, I would certainly not repeat it on a new project. But I appreciate your opinion. Thank you for watching, commenting and advice.
