I saw an award show that was in honor of Sean Connery. James Earl Jones’ tribute to Connery that Jones led with was, “It’s the voice.” Connery appeared genuinely and deeply honored.

James Earl Jones raised in my home State of Michigan, went to UofM School of Music Dance Theatre just a few miles from my current home✊

I don't think I'd ever watched him in an interview. I'd read he had a stutter but thought he'd overcome it completely. So interesting how he can learn a part and be flawless but in spontaneous speech have some difficulty, shows how they are handled differently in the brain.

They must have altered his voice in Star wars because he has such a warm genuine voice.

Because it's such a bass undertone his "normal" voice is lighter and higher. All he had to do for Darth was talking all bass. Like go all in. It's not that difficult, he could switch in a second if he wanted to.

I believe if you have a truly brilliant actor you do forget , who as a famous person your watching and believe in the character. I find that I’m not that fond of the person of Jonny Depp but as an actor he is for me a great actor. Because he can put on a costume make up and become somebody that I don’t even recognize until I’m tall that’s Johnny Depp. That’s a good actor. That’s a great actor! do you know many of us have our favorite time error for movies because for myself I feel for a while there some of the 70s just did not have good actors producing movies. It seems like we’re losing the really great actors and I don’t mean they’re dying. I mean they’re just not acting many of us get to watch them. They may be on Broadway. They may be producing movies somewhere that isn’t where I watch but I truly miss actors that have that talent. James Earl Jones, a truly brilliant actor he will be greatly missed. 😔 does anyone know what his faith was?

What was the comment about smallpox and someone's cheek? I played it a few times and I can't make out what he said exactly, and the look on James Earl Jones' face maybe he didn't either?
@hd-xc2lz2 жыл бұрын
"What's par on your right cheek?" i.e. cheek resembles a golf course due to the numerous small pox scars. That vicious anecdote and mean/sad Gleeson story - kinda odd non sequitur, no?
