I'm not athletic at all, but Katie's pole vaults were truly amazing. She vaulted so many times, she must have been exhausted at the end. Does one get points deducted if the crossbar is dislodged after clearing it?

No you get points based on overall placement on who jumped the greatest height. (1st place: 10 pts, 2nd: 8 pts, etc.) if the bar falls then that just means you didn’t clear that height

When I use to vault if two people cleared let’s say 10 feet but not the next height, the person who had the more faults from 10 feet would be 2nd

I don’t think Arden does to school with Katie. They go to a pole vault clinic together though, not affiliated with their high schools. Usually those meets are just a dual meet with one other school until something like county championships.
