Money is linked to debt, when I borrow money from the bank and pay a builder, and that builder puts 'my' money in the bank, the bank again lends it to another guy that then pays his builder... how do you explain that? The argument that 'banks do the same thing' is a bit cheap, banks wish they could still do the same thing, and the risk is still there that some Bankman Fried or Jerome Kerviel goes out and plays with your money in a casino setting with short selling...

The 'hack' is 100% an inside job. Even if their codebase got hacked, the hacker would also need to have access to their Apple & Google accounts in order to push the update in the app stores. I'd imagine only a number of people would have access to those e.g. SBF, CTO and other technical people very high up on the chain
