Water in the engine - Water can get into your oil sump in two ways: Water in car - Water condensation in cold air or combustion gases: this phenomenon is extremely rare and only occurs at specific temperatures.Water in the oil - Coolant leak due to non-watertight seal (cylinder head gasket, etc.).

You need to get it welded properly. It came out due to a fault with case housing not being strong enough to handle the compression stroke on the kick. It blew the bolt hole out and if you jb weld it, first or second kick it's gunna blow out. Get a new case I've had it happen and tried this. You guys rock keep up good work bro.

The more difficult rebuilds you take on....the better you skill yourself! You're becoming a KZbin sensation. If you keep at it.....in 2 years you'll be doing full rebuilds in a few days like it's nothin. Then you end up with a title that goes with your name and that's "he's good!" the trick with jb weld is ruff up the surface make dam sure no oil is on any of it do not even let your finger touch scratch the case in two directions apply it in thi coats get the quick set about 5 layers with a small stiff brush and you start n the middle and work your way wider with each coat the overlap makes it real good also after you're first that fiberglass cloth works well on big holes put it on your 2nd coat looks like you have a nice kdx you should be able to fix it just take your time good luck

U have to take the bottom bolt off the water pump to drain it make sure radiator caps off when u drained coolant

I had a similar problem with the case breaking. I think your issue was that the big spring has an end that is bent to fit into the little hole on the top of the case surface. I think it slipped out of the hole and when it was kicked the spring flew into the case, causing it to break out like in the last video. Also that small arm next to the kick starter gear should be bent and is not the issue. Best of luck hope I was able to help out!

What I would use to fix that is a good lil size chunk of quick steel! Just used some quick steel to fix a broken lip on the crank case of my 2006 kx450f

Go to harbor freight you can get aluminum brazing rod ....but you have to split the case and pre heat the whole thing. I used a bbq to preheat a blaster case and it worked perfect

Try aluminum welder bc I had 2 raptor 350s that the case broke bc of the chain snapped and I used aluminum welder and It worked now I use case savers on my 400ex

Jb weld does hold! I owned a raptor 350 before and the same thing happened chain snapped put a hole in the motor, used a lil peace to cover the hole and jb welded it, and it ran for as long as I kept it

Honestly you should just weld it. Its not that much work and you dont need to tear the motor appart. JB weld will most likely work fine but if you actually weld it it will be 100 times stronger

The Liberator I don’t disagree that an actual tig weld would be stronger, but I think jb weld is way stronger than necessary and it will suffice just fine for that piece.

Use quick steel my buddy broke his case on his Yamaha Warrior 350 and it's about the same size hole we put quick steel on it and it's still running its been a year of relly hars abuse and two top ends and its still holding good

U can use aluminum tape for duct work to put over the hole..the tape will create a wall for the jb to ahear to..remove Kickstarter gear, then jb weld outside and inside of the case..hope this helps. #brokefolksmoto 😎

Hey guys the jb i dont think would work being right on a bolt hole when u go to torque it down beings ur gluing and thred hole back on to the casing when u go to tighten cluch cover to spec i believe it will brake the jb with all the tighter pressure being on it it may work ive had success with jb welding my water pump cover on my rm 80 and it held good to the pressure but only i believe its 8lbs of pressure that rund in the radatior so not much at all you can more than likely get a crank casing off ebay for cheap i just bought a kx65 whole transmission for 60$ look on Ebay for the part i would. over all nice bike dig the purple years kx one way or another i got faith in yall she will be ripping next week

I'd jb weld the pices back on and pretty sure that peice of metal for the kicker you thought was bent is supposed to be like that, i think that piece on my 2003 kx 85 looked the same as that and works fine

You can JB weld the engine part, it will work vell, because there is no perssure in the oil pit.

Maybe you can try that "low heat" aluminum welding rods from Amazon? Do yourself a favor and pressure wash those machines before you work on them. It will help keep crap from getting inside the engine.

Water cannot get into the oil from a bad head gasket on a 2 stroke. 2 separate compartments. That is why you have to mix oil with the gas on a 2 stroke. It is a bad water pump seal.

I’m just getting in to this type of stuff I just heard that most cases are specifically fitted for the engine it came on . Like one of my old revolvers I got extra parts for it and even though they are from the same exact gun the plate to cover up internals just would not fit

I used to have a green 2003 kx80 but I let my friend ride it and somehow he made my chain fly loose, wrap around the sprocket, and take a huge chunk out of the trans cover, he also popped a stick up through the forks and broke the fork seals

Good luck trying to seal the cases welding on a gasket surface it will never be perfectly flat better off tearing the bottom end down and doing properly

You maybe able to reuse the waterpump seal for now, the little spring circle that goes around it should split apart, you can then chop a few mill off of it to create a tighter seal on the shaft, this trick is also very effective on leaking fork seals! Ive just dont this on my 2017 ktm exc 250 and no more weeping from the fork seals..

It’s supposed to have that “bent” bar my 94 kx 80 has same thing you have a broke kick start shaft the gear doesn’t have the lip that catches on “bent” bar to keep kick start from over rotating. @2vintage
