I agree completely. Buy the pattern . Support the designer. Your socks are beautiful. Love your chatting. Thank you.🌻

Thank you showing us how you use the shorty needles I have just got a set for doing the sleeves of the sock cardigan but haven’t tried them yet. The sock cardigan was my summer project but I developed cataracts and was finding it hard to see the coloured chart but I had the operation to put a new lens in my eye on Wednesday and already (saturday) my sight is so much better that I think I can get back to that project yay🎉. I agree about not sharing patterns and I’m glad to hear you saying that. It’s so hard to make any money from creative work so we need to support designers. Also I hate maths so I’m always very grateful for other people who do the hard work of making the pattern for me! I’m looking forward to hearing about the MAL for K2P2 as I’m also planning what I can wear to the event! Have a good weekend ❤

Thanks for your episode today. I love your daughter’s book cover. It’s so nice when your kids enjoy some of the same things you do. My youngest daughter was interested in sewing (I am pretty much only a knitter). She was taking a class at school and she decided to use an old tablecloth of her grandmother’s to make a purse or handbag. It was very well done and gave a fabric, which contained lots of memories, a new life. It was a proud mama moment. 😊 I enjoy your chatty episodes. I am a chatty person myself and it is cheering to listen to you. Thank you!

I love your lesson that sometimes the little parts don’t look so good at the close up level, but when you see the whole, it always works out! Like a beautiful, scrappy quilt!! Like a good life! ❤ thank you so much Sarah!

As always, love your podcast! I have started the Summer Lee sock challenge as well. I love her socks and color choices but she is not helpful if you have a question. I was trying to knit her Mermaid Avenue socks and was confused about something. I emailed her several times but she never got back to me. Very disappointing. I have the yarn for the August sock with the flowers but haven’t started yet. Thank you for mentioning her - she’s very talented. Congratulations on your daughter’s success in knitting and crocheting. Hie wonderful for you two to share your crafting.

I think we need to remember that the designers sell patterns for income because they put time and effort into their designs. This is their creative effort and should be appreciated and respected. Simply my thought...
@catherinecunningham71262 ай бұрын
I totally agree Sarah about supporting designers, I never give away a paid for pattern. I do what you do and send a link (it doesn’t always go over well with some “friends” but I don’t worry about that). Your daughter’s crocheting is beautiful! I’m so excited for you on the camper van! As I’ve mentioned we loved ours!!! 🌸🌼🌻

Its always so inspiring to watch Sarah talk about " all the yarny thing's ". I certainly love that scrappy jumper, so thank you for sharing that pattern suggestion I think your daughter is just so clever with what she is doing with her own " crafty adventures". Ive just knit my first wrap n turn sock, and i think Ive found my style" Oh no, i must say I always associate your intro music with " Ahhh, sit down and watch Sarah" its all ok, we will get to recognise the new " Sarahs theme" 😅😊

Good on you for pointing out that we should purchase patterns and not share them with friends or family. I’ll add to that by saying we should also acknowledge our sources for inspiration. For example, when I blog about my version of your Prague blanket, I will link to your KZbin channel. I will also link to the original Fireside Blanket pattern and tutorial for the layout of the Prague blanket and for the real Fireside blanket which I am just about to finish up (yay). We need to share the love, and acknowledge sources! It’s only fair and ethical to do so. I love the Fireside blanket so much that I am about to make a second one, using the recommended yarn, that I purchased online from the UK. I’m in Australia and it only took a few days to arrive here.

The pleats you speak of are actually tucks. And the lace is lace trim. I love how hard you try to speak proper English. You are so sweet and enjoyable to watch. Don’t be so hard on yourself.

I love that your daughter is so interested in knitting and crochet. She is doing wonderful! I just started the Humlebi socks. I always knit my socks cuff down. I am finding starting these is quite fiddly. I was wondering if you could talk about why you like toe up better. What are the pros and cons of each way. You're cute and fun as ever! Thank you!❤

Hi Sarah. Enjoying your podcast. I hope you can find your original music. It made me feel relaxed as soon as I heard it, but I also like your new music. I have always used fixed 9” circs for knitting socks cuff-down. I thought I did not like magic loop. I decided to try toe up socks using magic loop. It is not so bad and I learned the Turkish cast on! I joined the Colorwork Cuff Club and look forward to trying colorwork socks.

Always a pleasure to sit in your company for an hour or so. I do miss your original intro music which I immediately associate with you. I hope you can find it again. Absolutely love the Summer Lee sock design. It shows off your colours so much better. I enjoy her podcasts too. She is so inspiring. You could always use your single sock for a Christmas stocking 😅. Your daughter is doing some very fine work for one so young. She takes after her mama. I’m looking forward to seeing your cardigan plan. 🤎🤎🤎

We use “ cm “ in Canada also. I think USA are the only country in the world that refuse to use metric 😵💫🧐❤️🇨🇦❤️

It's a nightmare converting yards into metres for fabric too ! 😵💫
@toosilverme2 ай бұрын
Metric is so simple based on 10s. We love to make it hard on ourselves, I guess...I also used picas for years in the print industry. Smaller increments are also easier to work with!
