Might work better with the springs flipped around to cushion it. It would prevent snapping the spring or bending the spray arms if it catches a rock or something else

I was wondering the same ? If the wheel falls into a hole, that's trouble.
@matthewhburch61984 жыл бұрын
Agreed. If those wheels hit a hole wrong with the springs turned that way, they could snap off. Spring steel is tough enough that hitting a hole wrong might even slam up against the boom and damage it.

12:40 Wouldn't it be better having those sprung bogey wheels trailing rather than leading? I'm thinking it would roll over lumps and bumps better that way. The way they are now they could catch, dig in and end up twisting the boom. Or am I over-thinking this?

Shouldn't those wheels on the sprayer be dragged and not pushed as they touch the ground ? Just curious.
@Mike-qv3pz4 жыл бұрын
I agree that it would be probably better, but there has to be a reason why they did it. Maybe the boom couldn't fold if they where dragging. Or the nozzles would spray on the tire and it would leave a unsprayed area where the wheels are?

5$ that extra wheels wont make the first 100 rougher acres... for a working sping its way better to be dragged not pushed. If that wheel hits a rock a washout anything bigger 1/3 its own diameter with your spraying speeds It will shoot your boom to the sky or a heck off a beating into the boom to the rear. Probably both.

@leebob864 жыл бұрын
@Central Iowa Farmer, let's see. What is your farming contribution? You produce feed corn for cattle, which creates the unhealthy fat, the yellow fat. Bovine (sorry for the use of the big word) would never eat corn naturally. Oh, you might sell it for ethanol, which when combined with gasoline doesn't deliver the same power as pure gasoline, thus creating a demand for more foreign oil. Maybe your corn is used to manufacture high fructose corn syrup, which is extremely unhealthy. Ignorant? Guess not. So, better get to feeding your fat hogs, another unhealthy, natural resource consuming crop. But hey you keep up the good work!!!

Good job, I like seeing you guys build and fix anything too make it work. Break, fix, rebuild and repeat.. lol we all can't just buy new stuff, make it work and fix it right. Just because its shiny new dosen't mean it works.. 💪👍
