Good on you! In my town a little girl recieved a cabbage seedling in school when she was 9 yrs old. She took it home, planted it, and it grew to 40pds so she donated it to a food bank. That cabbage helped to feed 275 ppl and it inspired her to start a full food garden. She's is the founder of a charity called Katie's Krops and she feeds people all over the United States now. Growing food is a great way to, not just feed yourself and your family, but others too! Find your passion, young lady, and RUN with it!

I don't know how you do it. Between recording multiple videos each day on recording days, keeping up with Baby Acre and Josh, your garden, your chickens and just life in general, you are one busy woman. I love watching your videos Becky. You're sweet, kind, funny and most of all you're not aftaid to show us the good and the bad of homesteading. Your comments about "I'm not perfect, I'm just trying my best!" really resonate with myself and I'm sure many others. I think so often we get lost in trying to make things perfect and forget that it takes time, patience and sometimes things can get messy and a bit frustrating after a long day. Much love to you and your family. Bye Friend! ❤

Good afternoon, Miss Becky. My name is Debra, and I am saying hi! to you from Temple, Texas. I am not sure when the "NEW" Scratch Pantry went "live", but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the new website, and I can not wait to print off your recipes. I think I might print all of them off and turn them into my very own-"Acre Homestead" Cookbook. I always look forward to your next uploads, and can not wait to see what you come up with next. Thank you for all that you do, and keep up the good work. Best wishes from Debra, Bruce, and Iris. P.S. Iris is my Labrador & great Pyrenes dog that actually watches you when I put KZbin up on my living room tv. I have been trying to get a video of her, so I could send it to you, but when she sees my cell phone camera, she puts her head down. Lol, Thank you again.

You can harvest your own petunia seeds. I did that and this was the first year I had blooms. At the end of the season, let it dry out. Get a piece of white paper, fold it twice and then shake the stems over the paper. You will see tiny flakes (looks like pepper), that is your seeds! Amazing!!!

I suspect a lot of growers like Proven winners uses plant cuttings rather than seed. That could be contributing to why you aren't seeing seeds. Many are bred to be sterile so they keep on blooming.

Becky, have you ever considered, that since you already have the tarp laid out, maybe just dump all the soil in the center of the tarp from all the tiers of the tower. Then amend the soil, then put it back in. It just seems that it would be easier and quicker.

You are such a blessing! I have had a food processor for years and just gave it away. I never used it. Watching you has taught me so much about gardening. Finally after 3 years we have been able to harvest. We have so much coming in that I was sick of chopping and shredding. Lol 😂 I got another one and I love it. You look so tired at the end of the video. You were so busy all day. Thank you for all that you do. ❤

Becky a tip I learned a couple years ago for seed saving was to let the seeds dry on wax or parchment paper instead of paper towel. I found the paper towel tends to make them shrivel and stick where the wax type papers don't stick and the don't shrivel. Also if you want to save cucumber seeds it is best to ferment them for a couple days. All you need to do is place the slippery seeds in a bowl of water on the counter. After a couple days they will slip out of their slippery pockets the are in. Once you are able to get them out of those pockets allow then to dry close to a week (until they don't clump together) and then store for winter. Hope that helps you. It has been HUGE for us

I love your garden and freezer meal ideas. But I just want to let you know I’m Mexican. And flour tortillas are for burritos quesadillas. & flautas. Corn tortillas are for tacos or taquitos and enchiladas. I just keep seeing many that say enchiladas are made out of flour tortillas. Which to me is so weird because I have never had tacos made out of flour tortillas. Although the tortillas are versatile and you can create many delicious meals. I would like for someone to say that tortillas can create great meals but the correct way to use the tortillas should be mentioned. Thanks

There may be a day I hate to say this, but we’re not going to have seeds to purchase so you might want to start doing this Becky. Make some fish tacos or shrimp tacos sometimes. I’m grandmother used to say that when you wash the rice that you were washing, it starts off of it I don’t know how true that is I doubt all the starch got washed off of it, but some of it may have.😮 too bad you lost all those frozen dinners don’t mean to bring it up again, but it would come in handy right now!Man!!! what time is dinner?😮
