The first farm I worked on, we used to put all our alfalfa seedings in with oats. Harvested the oats and baled off the straw and after that you had a great stand of hay.

Great video Tim, I love to see the old MF65 out working, that engine sounds good. I definitely think you got your money's worth out of the McCormick drill. 👍 Always enjoy your videos, just wish you had time to make more of them. Looking forward to your next one. Take care, all the best. Peter. 🇬🇧 UK.

Those spin out back wheels on the 65, are you still able to get parts for them over in the US? I have a Massey 135 with those wheels on the back but I can't get parts for them anymore over here.

@@peterhoughton1589 yes you can get parts in the US. A&I has them and should be able to send them to the UK.

Nice one Timmy, the corn drill brings me back to my younger days , I spent many days every March/April sowing wheat and barley and some oats with a McCormack drill like that except ours was on steel wheels pulled by B275 and later B414 McCormack International tractor without any cab and let me tell you in those days the natural weather for those days was a hardy north wind so I still have the scars to prove it😢😂 love your videos thanks for sharing

I can remember when I was a kid, my grandfather using the old Oliver Superior on steel, planting oats on a cold late March day, and then waking up the next morning to 4 inches of snow on the ground.

Sweet tractor music! Is that a McCormick or MF drill?
@839Unipicker Жыл бұрын
It is a McCormick model MF drill. The fertilizer distributor is long gone in it though so I guess techincally it's a model M.
