just got back from a 4 night stay. 2 nights in an ocean view (WOW!) and 2 nights in royal level swim up. The hotel is breathtaking and the rooms and views are amazing. glad we got to experience it before it gets too busy (750 rooms!!) still has its teething problems and its still not fiinished but its probably the most luxurious hotel I have stayed in since Marina Suites in Gran Canaria.

It's a rolls Royce with a reliant Robin engine food problems and staffing problems won't be rebooking there are a lot better options on this resort

That hotel is enormous is so big it needs it’s own postcode, I guess if you’re at one side you wouldn’t even notice the final touches being done in the west wing, might take a nosey in April if security let me in I’ll have to name drop 😂

We called at Barclelo hoping to walk into reception to enquire about rooms and prices. We were met by two burly security staff who asked were we residents. We said no just wanted in to speak to someone in reception. Reply was if not resident no admission. I thought any member of the public was afforded the curtesy of entering the public area of hotel. It was like arriving unknowingly at the gates of local mafia boss and been asked to leave if you hadn't an appointment. I think I'll just keep staying at Princesa Yaiza who know how to treat visitors. By the way Dave any availability on big buggy tour. We're here to next Wednesday. Thanks. Cyril.

Arrived at the Barcelo on Friday afternoon lovely hotel we took the half board opinion and the evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel itself needs a few more weeks to do finishing touches like a exit to the promenade.
