It is printing! After a lot of work and 1 year of planning, assembling, and troubleshooting I have it printing.
There still is a lot to do, mainly in the tidying up department. The printer needs to be enclosed too, so there are still some things to consider.

Also on the note of cooling, you've probably already seen all this, but: "247printing " and " Fail Fast!" Have documented some static fan + nozzle setups "Vez3D " Made a system utilizing a CPAP fan + tubing for part cooling as well similar to your tube idea

I have not actually. I like the CPAP idea a lot though, I will definitely check these things out. Thank you for the knowledge!

One of my concerns of water cooling is weight, and the moving head speed up-slow down cycle over high speed can be an issue. I have seen Japanese tech, where the head is a laser head that melts the metal with the same feeding mechanism to solder down precisely chip legs, but for plastic I think don't necessary to have that much energy. IF it is possible to use laser mechanics to melt plastic we can have an unique head that not only will be able to make home SMT, else the plastic/a.s.o. material chassis/part of the product too.

Yeah that would be cool. My goal with the Mosquito Liquid is not to go fast, PEEK (my goal to print) doesn't like to print fast anyhow. Yes it is heavy, but it has a specialty purpose. Additionally that's why I have a toolchanger so I can grab a very light hotend :)

It may be a bit late to say this, but have you considered the DiamondBack Nozzle instead of the Olsson Ruby?
@JordanMiller1117
@JordanMiller1117 2 жыл бұрын
I just found the diamondback company at the Rapid+TCT show in Detroit and have one in my possession. Going to do a video on side by side comparison. From what I’ve seen of us using them at work I am very impressed.

Great work! Be careful with your x belt if it not parallel it might cause some tension issue and inaccurrency print
@JordanMiller1117
@JordanMiller1117 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, exactly. I’ve let it go for now but am going to re-design the piece to make them parallel.

What is that squeek you hear the printer make during the print later into the video? The sound happens during a move, but what part of the printer squeeks?

I am pretty sure it is one of the pulleys just rubbing on the plastic mount a little bit. I haven’t investigated it very much, but plan to do so. Not too worried about it at the moment.

As you add tools how are you going to keep the different tool's waterlines, electrical cables, and filament from tangling?

Great work man! I am trying my own tool changer design right now. How do you do the 3 axis autoleveling (talking about firmware level)? Can you share your firmware?

I can upload that tomorrow, I'll let you know where I upload it! You can look at HevORT's website and his config.g file, I just copied that and tweaked my locations a bit.

Why not a washer ? For the spring, this how I make it
@JordanMiller1117
@JordanMiller1117 2 жыл бұрын
The "washer" is more of an open bearing, there are a top and bottom with the ball bearing inner race sandwiched between them. Or are you talking about a wave washer?
@gold-junge91
@gold-junge91 2 жыл бұрын
@@JordanMiller1117 no you can put a m4 washer with bigger id as the shaft behind the spring with this you increase the force that’s hold your tool
