You have worked so hard in the past year. I think you both need a month of relaxation to enjoy your house and do fun projects like decorating for Christmas, attending Christmas community events and entertaining in the month of December. Get everything that is crucial done by November 30. Enjoy December. Then in January you could start on the next project. As the saying goes “Rome was not built in a day”.

I remember that feeling of panic when you remember you have forgotten something crucial - like a bucket of mortar that will set up and turn to stone if you leave it! It’s not just the mortar you will lose. You lose the bucket, too! That is what separates the adults from the children. You have become your own mother, as you now tell yourself to just get up and finish what you started.

The terracotta tiles in the kitchen look soooo good. Given that you are probably going to be doing a lot more tile cutting for the rest of the house have you thought of getting a wet saw to cut tiles? Would be a good investment for the long term.

Put bowls with vinegar or bowls with baking soda around the house to absorb the odors. Do NOT put them on the floors where the dogs can reach them.

Question: Have you found any remedies for filling empty spots of the Terra cotta gifted tiles in back entry near your bathroom? I was thinking cuts off of unused glazed tiles either from renovation or from the original home decor or found tiles might be of interest(?). Just an idea I thought I'd throw out there.😊
