On Jan 6 my best friend got his wings and is with his Lord after a year long battle with cancer. When the grief overwhelms me, I play this song to redirect my mind to a wonderfully loving God who now enjoys the presence of my friend. One day he and I will sing this beautiful song of exaltation together to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

God provides three things that I count on to sustain me: Prayer (to talk it over with God), Scripture (to remain grounded in facts), and worship - to encourage my soul. This video, such an exquisite truthful worship, is an extremely important vessel of worship to drink from to be refreshed. God is using this to encourage and console. Thank you.

My Father was a seeker, a mystic whose greatest joy was pushing into searching the Love that God gave us in Scripture. He read everything he could get his hands on that related to faith and Scripture. Teaching was his profession. When dimentia claimed his mind, it was heartbreaking to watch my hero lose the very thing he loved most- using his mind to glorify his God. He finally went to his Maker early during the Covid pandemic. And as sad as it was to lose him, we rejoiced for him to be whole again. He loved simple worship songs that focused on Truth and the praise of God. It Is Well was his favorite hymn... and I Exalt Thee brought him to joyful tears of praise many, many times. This version is fantastic, and he wouldve had it on loop/repeat for hours.

We never know why things happen. My dad was not very appreciative of worship music, Bible study or anything like that. He eventually became Alzheimic, sorry to say. But God can use what the devil did for evil to do good. Maybe in his last days, He was filling your father in an unusual way, with goodness.

God’s presence is always strong, even when we don’t feel Him or have an emotional response. Because He has said “I will never leave you not forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5) we can take comfort that He is near even when He seems so far away. Hope this encourages you today 😊
