I met Marty in the 70s and he asked me to drink coffee with him. He was a very humble yet humorous man....for sure one of the greatest country singers ever! Thanks for this song I'd not heard till now, and this reminder of irreplaceable Marty Robbins!

Also recorded by Hank Snow who does a nice version of the song. If you look at Marty's catalogue of self written songs over his career it is very, very impressive. Not only was he such a versatile artist, the songs he wrote were so eclectic and it seemed like his great mind possessed almost a conveyor belt of poetic, thrilling and melodious songs.
