Looking at the bed you will probably have to modify the inner wall of the bed and add an inner fender well to accommodate the tires.

Great progress on the truck. When you live in the rust belt and then watch one of Weird Beard's videos where cars sit around for decades and only get a little of that magical Fairy rust where bolts still come apart and pieces actually separate, it's like Hollywood movie magic! Brent at Halfass Customs just cut up 2 sets of rear fenders for the 55-66 Chevy stepsides. Maybe you can get the front section from him to eliminate the spare tire recess on yours

Like the looks of that truck in the front as it is now. I wouldn`t swap the springs one more time. Remember this truck will no longer be used as a work truck. It´s the looks why people will drive it and for that purpose it can´t be deep enough.

Hey Mike, how you doing? I want to give you a sugestion, why not instead of shortening the frame, you fill that space between the cab and the bed with something like a cool toolbox? maybe you can fab a custon toolbox that has the sides follow the lines of the cab or the bed. maybe you could fit a gas tank in there too. Thank you for the videos man, i really enjoy them.
