POTATO BONDA
(ALOO BONDA)
INGREDIENTS
1.Potato 3
2.Green chilli 2-3
3.Ginger ½ -1 “ piece
4.Big onion chopped 1 small piece
5.Curry leaves plenty
6.Coriander leaves plenty
7.Salt to taste
SEASONING
1.Oil 2 tsp
2.Mustard seeds ½ tsp
3.Cumin Seeds ½ tsp
4.Asafoetida powder ½ tsp
5.Chilli powder ½ tsp
6.Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
BATTER
1.Besan (Chanadal powder) 1cup
2.Dry roasted rice powder ½ cup
3.Salt a pinch
PREPARATION
1.Boil, peel and mash the potato with the hand without lumps.
2.Pop mustard, cumin and asafetida in oil, add chopped items sauté,
add chilli, turmeric powders salt and the potato mashed, sauté till the
moisture escapes, make balls. Set aside.
3.Prepare the batter with besan and rice powder adding a little chilli and
turmeric ,salt adding approximately 1 ¼ cup water.
4.Heat the oil and deep fry as shown.
