Fun fact: when the composer for Hello Dolly, Jerry Herman, watched Wall-E, he was moved to tears by both the beginning and end of the film. He loved how Pixar used his songs.

@@doubleR2D2 Honestly I feel like Wall-E and Toy Story are Pixar’s Magnum Opuses when it came to movies. Both movies bringing such powerful messages and bringing both people and sometimes the world together with its astounding visuals and it’s non beatable tragedy. Edit: I forgot to add this but without Toy Story 4, I think Toy Story’s trilogy would have ended on such a great note. Scenery is usually one of the biggest discrepancies between movies and stage. While I’m sure the writers new a park would be more dramatic, it’s not realistic to build a whole set and change it just for one scene. It’s a stage writers job to minimize the amount of sets wherever they can, so sometimes the best place to have a scene just can’t happen

this would be so much less romantic in a fucking courtroom

Every time I watch this I do the same thing as Wall-E did in the film: hold my own hand. Then I cry, the song gets me emotional every time.

Wall-E is far too perfect to have sequel
@kingdoomgaming5 жыл бұрын
Yes that is true wall e to perfect to have a sequel I mean I kinda want one but you can’t replicate the masterpiece that wall e made and it would take away what you have experienced with wall e so that is my opinion

I want a short or sequel not because of the story, but because EVE and WALL-E are my favourite Pixar characters ever, and I feel that there just isn’t enough of them, if you know what I mean

I’ve watched this movie literally over 100 times, and am now getting a tattoo in commemoration of this scene. I debated between this and Put on Your Sunday Clothes, but I thought this one had a much more personal meaning. Your life can change in just a moment (not a second or a minute!), and in the end love is unpredictable and strong and everlasting. I will always love this movie, and can not believe that it flopped in box. Also, there are a few fun things to look for while watching it. First off, Barbara’s name in the opening credits is spelled wrong. Whilst singing Sunday Clothes, watch the man in the back while Dolly talks about finding a hot spot. The man is comically excited about what Dolly is saying. Looking at the background in most scenes either shows still figures or cardboard cut-outs. At minute 1:17 is when the camera starts to pan to the left. Many times, Kelly had the men either act like they were holding up their suit, or had them behave like the girls. If the girls were holding their dresses, the men were too. Anyways, long useless comment is coming to an end. There’s some other fun things to look for, but I doubt anybody read this far

Well I found your comment rather interesting. I get what it’s like believing no one enjoy what you have to say. I mean no one ever quite enjoys what I like to share.

I read all the way through, very interesting! Though I had seen the movie many times back in the day, it's only today that I discovered that Gene Kelly DIRECTED it!!!! I had no idea! I liked your "things to look out for" and will keep my eyes peeled when next I watch :)

This is nostalgic and beautiful. Not only is this beautiful in Wall-E but it’s also wonderful in Hello Dolly. I still want to watch the full movie of Hello Dolly.

Wall-e was such a well done movie... This song will make me cry no matter what. Every time I listen to it, it makes me imagine scenarios such as being old and finally resting in peace or leaving your parents and family to accomplish your dreams or even remembering your childhood and all the games, KZbinrs, characters and other things you ever knew and loved... That's what I'm thinking while listening to this right now... Thank you Wall-E... For making us know our fate if we don't act now... If only he'd have a sequel...

Same. I don’t want a sequel for the story, just because EVE and WALL-E are my favourite Pixar characters ever, and I feel that there wasn’t enough of them in that 1 hour and a half, if you know what I mean?
