No hate allowed, only respect. DBZA reactions without DBZ knowledge are so much funnier to me. Though it is true that DBZA itself is much funnier WITH that knowledge, for those that are doing the watching. Even then, this is roughly the point where the parody starts becoming actually engaging for non DBZ fans too, so congrats on the milestone.

I agree. I myself would never watch something like an Abridged series without having first seen the source material. But when it comes to reaction videos, I find it a lot more interesting when the viewers in the video have never seen the source material. It makes for far more interesting content in terms of their interpretations, reactions, and predictions of the show's events.

Yup that’s the reason I thoroughly enjoyed watching Definitely Not Definitive(Ken and Bethany) react to DBZA despite them not knowing anything about Dbz. They enjoyed TFS work so much that they even continued the DBZ journey by watching the rest of Kai

TFS having always been based for their roles in being active when it comes to things like the flood in Brisbane. They preach for equality, acknowledgement, inclusiveness, etc. and have always tried support groups with good causes. Some of the members are more outspoken than others, but they all tend to be really good people.

Likeable as they are, gotta remember the Ginyu's have probably killed an *immeasurable* amount of people in their service to Freeza. Whether here or in the actual show, these guys are absolute monsters and couldn't care less if their "opponent" is a 5 year old kid or a 100 year old man.

The conversation the Ginyu Force was having at the start was a reference to a Seinfeld episode, specifically "The Contest". They were talking about the last time they *flogged the dolphin.* Recoome (it rhymes with doom) hadn't had time to be *jerkin' his gherkin* for three weeks. Burter *cranked it* in his pod on the way to Namek. We never learn when the last time was that Jeice had a wank. Recoome is based off of several pro wrestlers. When he says "the only thing Recoome sells is merchandise", he's referencing the act of "selling" getting hit by the other wrestler. *No selling* is taking a hit and barely reacting to it. Usually it's done to act like they're too steong for the other wrestler to hurt, but sometimes it's done when one wrestler feels like they're being screwed by the powers that be when they're supposed to let the other wrestler win. Goku's entrance theme is "Real American", the entrance theme for "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan. In case it isn't clear, Team Four Star are wrestling fans. Specifically Lanipator and Takahata. Taka is such a fan, when he was playing Dungeons and Dragons with his sister and some of their friends, his Barbarian Orc, Borky the Orcy, made a habit of incorporating suplexes into his fighting style. He killed a hag with a suplex, and turned her skull into a mug to drink from (and as a conversation piece) out of pride for defeating a mighty foe. No question is a stupid question. The haters are fools. If you enjoy yourselves, it makes the reaction videos more fun.

1:21 It’s funny enough that you guys are confusing the names with food. Idk if anyone’s commented this before but almost every name in Dragon Ball is some sort of food or object pun. Vegeta = Vegetable Kakarot = Carrot Gohan literally means rice in Japanese. Jeice and Burter = Juice and Butter Raditz = Radish The list just keeps going on Also Fun Fact: A lot of the gags in this episode like the whole “The name’s recoome and it rhymes with doom” are digs on the original English dub for DBZ which was, very loose with the translations to say the least 💀

Jeice being “Juice” is just a thing in the English Dub. Toriyama named the Ginyu Force after Dairy products. Guldo is Yogurt, Burter is Butter like you said, Jeice is actually Cheese, Recoome is Crème, and Ginyu is Milk like you said

Burter is Japanese for Butter Ginyu means "Milk". All of the team's name are things made of milk-which you would find near a freezer.
