Good luck with it, dunno nothing about these so can offer no advice Holden V8's we would pack the oil pump with grease to get them to prime properly Chrysler V8's the bypass would stick closed and pump oil past the oilfilter flange onto the ground LS is to modern for me Loving your builds and your channel

what is it with ls and oil pressure ? my current motor one i made from 4 dead ones was fine did 1 skid and at the end all i got is 25 pound at idle started with 45 at idle so let it cool for a couple hours and it had 35 pound so on the trailer it went got it home pulled it off the trailer and got 45 pound again , im a bit gun shy the last 5 skids ive done cost me 4 motors and since ls1,s are collector items now im trying to save some parts . 4 engines ago i had one that had 100 pound at 3 grand i think im gunna put that one in and see how it goes . ive been building a 5.3 on the side for a blower all new and forged parts talk about drama buying new bearings , nothing comes easy anymore used to just order it off summitt be here in a week , week and a half , not anymore . im liking the sound of that cam how bout a part number ? best of luck man hope you get it to choped gunna need vids of that

Oh mate, I know what you’re saying!!!! LS motors used to be the cheap option but not anymore. I’ve sunk too many $ into this one to risk it any longer, hopefully the new pump fixes it. It’s just a prick to remove the whole radiator etc to get to it but it is what it is. The cam is a Texas speed ls1 chop monster, 233/240 108 lsa. It’s not the best performance cam. It sounds bloody good idling around 😂😂

You sure you're not pinching the oil pump o-ring? And how do your cam bearings look? And 15-20 psi at warm idle is very common. LS's have low pressure like that at wam idle. My 2018 has 10-15psi at warm idle.
