Im here for the "Oh Joanna Gaines" moments!! Well l dont have peas so l will just use broccoli, l dont have pancetta so l will just use bacon, l dont have shallots so l will just use onion and garlic, "garnish with chives" or not well we dont have them....... "Can someone please tell me why mine looks nothing like the recipe?" Absolutely no idea Kim lm stumped l thought you followed the recipe to a T. 🤣🤣 Love, love, love you Kim and little Meredith peeking up from the floor can she just stay little forever we all need her cuteness she is just so precious. But honestly- why doesn’t hers look like there’s any sauce on it?! 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
@brilliantbutblue4 жыл бұрын
@@thewadsquad: Take 2 l just re looked at her recipe and zoomed it in. There is NO sauce on the bottom at all. Shes put the pasta in the bowl sans sauce, sprinkled a few peas on the top and the pancetta then put a drop of sauce in the orichetti only on the top. If you look closely at the pic the orichetti underneath has nothing on it. Hope that makes you feel a bit better.❤
@Saturn574 жыл бұрын
Maybe they didn't put sauce for photography purposes because it would've concealed all the other ingredients (and colors for that matter). Also, Kim, you used less pasta for the same amount of cream, sooo, of course yours will be swimming in sauce, lol.
@brilliantbutblue4 жыл бұрын
@@Saturn57: I actually watched someone cook the recipe on YT and she used the correct quantities, hers was SWIMMING in sauce like Kims was. I think 1 cup broth and what 3/4 cup cream is alot of sauce, in the photo its thicker, needs to be reduced before adding the Parmesan

I love that you post early in the morning so I can watch with my coffee as that Florida sun comes up. I get interrupted sometimes, so a 40 minute video may take me 90, but whatever. Lol. I love your energy and I think I’ve found my quirkiness twin. 🤣 PS, I ordered those produce keepers and I can’t believe I fit two HUGE bags of grapes in the big green one with plenty of room for more! I love the Soup you made copy cat Olive Garden one. Never been there, but I did like you I did use spinach though, but I just dumped everything in after I cooked the sausage and bacon. However I used hot spicy sausage, so good! I make it from fall through the winter. Then I went to the Olive Garden just to try their soup LOL. Nothing like theirs!!! I love mine so much better. The squash I will be making like you do once I get to the store to get some. I am sure it is soo good! Boursin is an amazing thing to add to many dishes like you would use in hot dishes in place of Philly cream cheese. I am hooked on it!! Love it in Beef Stroganoff YUMMM.

I en joy your video of preserving. I do the same thing, skinning and freezing tomatoes as they ripen and then when I have enough I make a huge kettle of spaghetti sauce. Corn day brought back a lot of memories.We go to a local Mennonite farm and pick corn by the hundreds and pay very little. We have invested in a corn silker and each of our families share it on corn day. I grew up preserving a whole lot and I still do for our family. It's not necessarily my favorite thing to do but it definitely is worth it and is very rewarding.

If u ever have instant potato flakes that u need to use up...try breading chicken with them. They have to be the potatoes FLAKES I've never tried doing it with the instant potatoes "buds" which usually those small Betty crocker type instant potato packs are the buds...the flakes usually come in a box like the one Kim is using...and u bread them like normal...flour egg then potatoes flakes. Thin cut chicken. Put some S&P in the tater flakes...fry them in some avocado oil...omg so good. When I was little my mom had run out of breadcrumbs and she used instant potato flakes instead and it became our FAVORITE. It's now my son's favorite chicken. It's sooo good.
