Chain sewing like that is a common quilting technique, saves a TON of thread if you usually sew short things, sometimes you waste more than you use 😅 And saves bobbin winding and potential thread tangles. Great tip!

The small Lit Christmas Tree with a stand/holder for décor is such an appealing and doable idea, totally adopting that. And to add the functionality of an advent calendar to it is just brilliant (storing this idea on my dedicated Pinterest board). Candies in the triangular ‘wrappers’ (I will make the containers with my mixed-media papers) with numbers (those I can make with my molds and Plaster of Paris or paper clay) on labels … Fun!

These are addictive! I made 120 over the weekend and will surely make more. I didn’t sew, but used art glitter glue and they were so quick and easy. I’m making them for the family tree and for my granddaughters to share with their teachers and fellow students.
