Big knife. I had looked at this one. I did buy that Eafengrow Ef928 you showed last. I love it and I got it razor sharp.. it's a beast also. I guess this is a two tool knife but most people don't dissemble knives. Nice for the price though. Thanks for the video Beez. Have a good week.

Offered a similar knife for review months ago, the EF335. It has a massive blade, and I think it’s even heavier than this one! The blade has a flipper tab that will grab you if you aren’t careful!!! Mine feels “cheap” all around and I wouldn’t buy any similar knife. I didn’t try taking it apart for the reason you ran into and my spine issues flow through to my arms and hands so no grip on the tool they sent.

Well, I was trying to not review any "clones", but apparently it's impossible. I though this one was inspired by the Socom Elite, and it was different enough. I did not know there is another Socom that this looks exactly like, until a few minutes ago. Truth is, I won't post a disassembly of it at this point because It would never make it in the lineup. I'll probably add pictures of it disassembled, in a video when they send me another one that has the same hardware and tool. You're the best, brother!

Hey beez! I have found that the best way to hold the spinning side pivot is to use some double sided tape, not the foamy white kind, but the better black double-sided tape. I cut a piece large enough to cover the whole top part of the knife, make sure it's pressed down very tight against the pivot, then I put that part onto a rubber block on the ground and press down on top of the knife with my foot to add a lot of pressure so that pivot won't move, and that works for me every time on a free spinning pivot that's had the devil's loctite. I usually put a rag over top of the knife where i put my foot on it, because every once in awhile, it can take extreme pressure, a new wiha bit, and a stubby driver like your wiha. And you always have to use a brand new bit that fits tight, and be extremely careful not to slip or strip the pivot, I have never failed to get one loose yet doing it that way.
@texyat73882 жыл бұрын
I’m very confused by this knife. Do they want you to be able to take it apart or not? I’d have to look through my bits to see if I have anything like those two sizes. I’d definitely have to be able to order a second one or get them from somewhere before I got this knife. It’s a cool chunker of a knife but it might be more trouble than it’s worth.

Well I believe you looked at one a fair time back that had one those tools with it. I think it was a pass along knife review though. Still, there is a way to loosen those a nice piece of silicon rubber for the pivot screw and pair of smooth flat needle nose pliers for the scale screws. I don't think they thought this one completely through imo. At least as far as the hardware is concerned. I'm wondering if replacements might be doable for it. There should always be a D shaped pivot these days.
@BeezBlades2 жыл бұрын
I could have lol. I'm getting good ideas for disassembly. I know I can hold the blade against the mat, to trap the pivot. Holding the body screws still may be difficult. It will give me a challenge, and I can then show people how I did it with one tool. A couple people said to just buy another one with the same tool. I agree on the D-shaped pivot. I think this model has been out for a while, before D-shaped pivots became mainstream. I love checking out all of these different knives!
