What is the difference between regular Edison cylinders and blue amberol?

Regular 2 minute cylinders, and 4 minute Amberols are made of wax (actual it's a metallic soap compound), but "Blue Amberols" are made of celluloid, an early form of plastic. They were far more durable than the fragile wax cylinders.
