Meta is the clear leader in VR. They are light years ahead in software and peripherals. I think Apple should sit this out until the Vision can be bought without taking out a mortgage.

I'm personally holding out for Samsung's offering. The concept looks sleek, and it's supposed to have the same OLEDs as the Apple Vision, as well as a roughly equivalent chipset in terms of performance. That, and a Quest Pro 2, presuming it's essentially a Quest 3 but better (they really dropped the ball with the first Pro. It was better in some ways, but they messed up other aspects).

Batman VR is an immediate purchase, just hope it's actually fun. I'm also wondering if Apple will reveal some form of motion controllers for their VisionPro.

Its not Batman VR, as that is an older title already released, 'this' is a new Batman VR game, so if you wanted there already is one you can play to get hyped for the next one.

Yeah I haven't bought many VR accessories like body trackers because since everything is 3rd party it's hard to tell what works well and which ones are as good as the advertising hype makes them seem. A video like 'best VR accessories of 2024' could be really useful.

I'm thinking it may be similar to Assassin's creed Nexus, but far more polished and better looking. The Quest 3 processor on paper is a fairly strong chip, it's said to rival a ps4 in quality

June 7th!? Let's see what the Quest 3 can do when it's not held back by the Quest 2 parity! Hopefully well see some solid Batman gameplay, that was a gripe many had with the teaser. Have to remember even Asgards Wrath 2 was a quest 2 game at its core. I'm hyped!

@paulct91 Cuz Google introduced me to XR with their Daydream headset and already have a massive ecosystem to build on with prev experience in AR, VR, entering AI. This will be the next Vision pro moment, but for android!

3:30 - His comments are at odds with Google "inviting" Meta to 'join' (be a part of) Google's XR OS, I mean Meta not being at the table there means it WILL fracture the ecosystem since Meta knows Google will do their own OS and games/Apps will have to decide if Meta is right for them (seek a Doctor's opinion). Two OSes will fracture compatibilty and what's powering the HMDs will too, Apple's Vision OS, Meta Horizon OS, Google's XR OS, Pimax's OS (shortlived), and the few other standalone HMD OSes.

Android xr will save us from the zuck monopoly playstore will have google vr apps I bet users will have root on their headsets in google xr much sooner than on meta playstore flat apps will probably work too so anyone with an android phone, their paid apps will work in google xr very exciting meta software is expensive , closed, and they have terrible refund support I like the google xr idea much more if the hardware can ante up zuck will have to give much more to quest users to keep them from jumping ship to devices running google xr. yes to full bodyy tracking/face tracking/ vr chat/LIV/VROID coverage in Snowcrash, the defining technology that made the vr technology become a second world is the protagonist's gf making proper face tracking so user's could emote properly without finger input.

Not really. Quest and VR as a whole are doing horrible sales numbers and no one wants to make games for it. VR is a dumpster fire right now and VR tubers are like what fire.. lol

Not really a massive year is it lol were nearly half way through and so far its been crap And tbh i just don't think graphics are where they need to be for standalone VR and 99% of releases are bad looking indie games Ive listed mine on ebay because its got the same as it did with quest 2 where I'm basically just playing paintball in rec room...its fantastic but most other games are just crap and the so called AAA games when released just feel off and not that good
