I little trick I do when I cut tubing is to use a flaring kit and put just a tiny little flare on the tube ends. Then clamp just in front of the flare. It can help sealing and there's no way the hose can slide off. I also saw some cool 12v AC compressors pretty cheap. They tend to pull 60-80 amps, but that would not be any big deal for you. A whole kit with lines, compressor, evaporator and condenser was like $500. If your indash evaporator is still working then it would be even cheaper. Mount the condenser up front or even under the vehicle. Compressor for sure would mount underneath. Something to think about over the winter.

So how you handle the broken windshield bit is you go to each class let them put the meter in run the run and record the score. Proof of everything. This is how they do it at Midwest SPL.

Tbh Bass Wars owes me 2 3rd place trophies from Supa FEST 24 Junction city Kansas. I clenched 3rd in 2 classes but had to leave after the 1st day because of car issues. And it was announced officially that I had placed in Assassin class and Cyclone trunk. But no contact from the organization to arrange to mail them to me. Not a big deal to some, but to me. That was my very first time in the lanes and I was screwed out of my trophies

@ 20:18, dude I feel you. Like Jonathan and everyone at JS have been the easiest to work with. Maxxsonicss and NVX are not bad either to work with. But as you said, the constant grind of fixing, repairing, testing, travel, show, and repeat. Sponsorships sound nice but most companies have a contract you have to sign and abide by folks. It aint just sunshine n rainbows yall.

Dude, yours and Debs welds look a hell a lot better than that hing that looked like chewing gum welds. Your welds are looking better every time you do it practice makes perfect. I always say it's not all about how the welds look, it's about how well it holds.

Just some advice for you. If you use your little stick welder get you some 6013 welding rods. They were designed to weld sheet metal. It looks like 6013 1/16 dia rods run about 40 amps. Or drive all the way to illinois and I'll weld it for you.

Is that Owens on Seaboard Street you're talking about? You drove right past my street on 701, that is a mess cause they're widening it FINALLY! The price of scrap steel is currently $0.03-$0.05 per pound, but buying any steel from Lowe's or Home Depot is outrageously expensive! Those crimp-on hose clamps are much better than the cheep worm style clamps.
That little welder pretty sweet that’s something I wouldn’t mind playing around with I’d probably by a lil wire feed ?
