Nnoitra doesn't WANT to die. He wants to keep getting stronger and prove he's the strongest, but if he comes up against anyone who can best him, he wants to die in that battle on his two feet. It's like the saying that goes "Die standing up." That's how you prove you're strong. Nel, in always refusing to finish him, is saying he is weak and not worthy of her. He also said pretty much word for word that she doesn't understand how deeply it hurts him that she won't just treat him like an equal and kill him.

Each espada represents an aspects of death and for nnoitra it's despair. Those who lost hope drown themselves in liquor for nnoitra battle is better then the best liquor. Eventually he died to his addiction (battal) his wish granted That’s why Nel called his action’s suicidal and is always saving hime. He taunted Kenpachi when he clearly doesn’t stand a chance against hime ( are you scared of me soul reaper)

The turn back the pendulum mini arc...essential and revealing ! Cut half the mystery of the visored, and gives us a fun view of how Soul Society work in peace time...very fun arc that build more the next one !!

When a character goes from Shinigami to Vizard, they don't lose power. They ONLY get stronger after the transformation, and so each of the ex-captain Vizards are at least at captain level. And, yes, Ichigo isn't a Vizard. He is Vizard adjacent, but there are a couple key things that differentiate him from any of the others.

Nnoitora didn't just chose to pretend that he wasn't weak. Remember, he was a lot stronger than he was in the past. Before he couldn't beat Nelliel, but when they fought again, Nel had to release to gain the upper hand, and Nnoitora managed to survive without using Santa Teresa once. Though becoming stronger/strong isn't Nnoitora's end goal anyways... He wanted to die in battle after being acknowledged...

Aizen plan is to create "Ouken" ouken is "soul king key", i only can say this far without spoiling, but remember this ouken is important part that people tend to forget/ didn't understand so don't forget it 😘.

2:20 - Kenpachi Zaraki is a far better written Goku, they both are seeking out strong fights. Major differences between them though, is that Zaraki won't literally threaten the fate of the entire universe for his own interest. 9:50 - Remember, Toguro was on that same energy as Nnoitra...wanting to die in battle but not to somebody that wasn't strong enough to kill them at 100% and beyond. They are going to keep getting stronger, but they will also keep wanting worthy challengers to appear before them...they want every fight to be a fight to the death.

I think Director had a point about Yamamoto. I always took it as what Aizen needed, was the souls themselves. If they just killed everyone in Karakura Town to stop Aizen from getting them, the souls would just end up in Soul Society anyways, where Aizen could still get to.

Nnortia is base on a praying mantis. And if u didn’t know the male praying mantis usually get eaten by the the females when mating. This could explain y he so sexist with having a female opponent stronger then him. Second u can tell Nnortia is suicidal and he wants to die, when Nel was in her adult form and was about to kill him he didn’t do anything. His instincts is looking for a battle where he can be killed. This could relate how male praying mantis instincts is to mate with females even though there a chance for them to die when mating.

Aizen knew that the 4 captains are a threat that is why he trapped them in hueco mundo...wondering at first why unohana is a threat during its airtime and its because she is a healer but then after reaching the TYBW, i knew nothing at all and got goosebumps when i read her backstory...and again this proves that Aizen is best antagonist..
