I met my wife at church. We were married for 10 years when she decided to leave the kids and me. She was not helping me with the kids and the everyday chores. I was pretty miserable with her. She got sloppy with her affair and made it so obvious. Two months after leaving us, she realized she had screwed up. Her affair partner was an alcoholic, tobacco chewer/spitter, and was on dialysis every other day. She tried in her own manipulative way to come back. I knew if I allowed her to return she would be even more hateful towards us. I got the divorce done in 5 months. I got custody of our kids. She became an angry demon and would sabotage her own visitation visits with the kids. I haven't talked to her in 15 years. I am still relieved that she is someone's else's problem. I never remarried and have no plans to. There is too much risk involved.

Good job on standing firm with her. She'd have used the make-up to build time, find another lover, and used the time together to get more from you in divorce. You were wise. Went through the same thing with a "Christian Girl". Dated 3 years, married 5. Church every Sunday, bible studies, shared values.... One day, she just walked out. No abuse, no lies, no cheating. @jeremystonell690 Жыл бұрын
Out of curiosity, did you have children with her and was she ever on birth control pills for a prolonged period of time? I have a feeling much of the 'Christian Girl' syndrome is caused by boredom. In the past women had large families (usually 8+ children) and didn't have time to be bored. You see this in the churches too, they want to be pastors, deacons, choir directors etc which were traditionally male and for good reason. Crowder's case is a little different though. Prior to 2021 he lost a child with her. Couples that experience the loss of a child, even in the womb, still have heightened chances of divorce according to the statistics. It's really bizarre that she wanted a divorce while pregnant with twins though.
@mycull Жыл бұрын
@@jeremystonell690 We were trying, thank God she didn't get pregnant. I'm sure it's one reason she left, but she never verbally told me why she left. @jeremystonell690 Жыл бұрын
@@mycull Yeah, I figured that was your story. It's not uncommon either. Many young women, inside/outside church, are recommended BC not for sex but for behavioural issues (i.e. regulating hormones). This is probably having a greater effect on their ability to stay married than the laws. Its also the reason she couldn't get pregnant because prolonged use leads to infertility and it takes years for the body to repair itself. I think men need to start looking at women on BC as a huge red flag and insist that they get off it for several years before marriage.

The divorce rate among believers always got me. Look, if a couple don't really believe in God, or don't necessarily think God cares or affects their lives in any way... ok, fine. I was married a long time and had noted that my wife and women in general just didn't regret things they did ever. It makes sense in a way as they typically live in the moment and are rarely truly introspective. Also to do it would be to admit fault, also something women typically do not do. After my 25 year marriage ended I thought maybe some day she would come to a little bit of an apology for blowing up our marriage in the way she did, but she never did.

Thanks for telling your story. Youve touched on something that I've realized too from experience and observation, that I think more men need to be aware of. Women are generally not apologetic or remorseful. Especially when it comes to their dating and mating choices and things in and around that. You will almost never find a woman who is sorry for infidelity or break up. They are more readily defensive. Proof: See how hard someone very methodical and strategic as Kevin Samuels tried to simply get women to consider their own actions.

Ironic cause he was crapping on modern western dating issues, marriage critics, and especially bashing young men for avoiding dating as well as western women. We don’t have all the details but classic modern woman move when she left after his health issues. Have a friend who’s dad had the exact same thing when diagnosed with cancer, where his Brazilian now ex wife left. I also suspect it’s partly some post natal hormone changes involved. I believe they said they did medically assisted pregnancy after the miscarriage. Hopefully it wakes up some of the conservative men as well as those across the political spectrum who are still playing Russian roulette with the marriage legal system. Weak willed people become products of their environment and the west is one of little to no accountability put on women, with all out cash & prizes for bad behavior. All it takes is one social media video or one friend embedding propaganda in their minds and you’ve lost everything. Only if you play the game of course in most cases. Sometimes paternity fraud forces you to lose no matter how careful you are as well. We’re at the point where men & boys are waking up enough that you don’t even need to point this stuff out anymore. Despite the tech censorship & gaslighting by the media It’s apparent and in the minds of the masses now.

There is a major difference between a woman marrying the “wrong” man and a man marrying the “wrong woman”. When a woman marries the wrong man, 99% of the time all the signs were there that the guy was an a-hole and would be a terrible husband. The woman expects him to change. For the man, the wrong woman 99% of the time the woman is fine and changes after the wedding.

As a 24 year old man i can tell people with confidence young men actually are quitting dating. Marriage of course too, but specifically we're not interacting with women. The truth is they're no longer the women we once had. And neither men or women were perfect back then too, but holy crap women went crazy and extremist. They went nihilistic, promiscuous, evil, hateful, and many other things. If men have fallen short in some ways we understand women who fall short in some ways too but it's proportional. We are thinking about our unborn children, we can't give them terrible mothers nor can we give ourselves terrible wives. Girlfriends may work, and even then it's such a monumental task it's not worth sacrificing your precious time for them. Let them drown in their delusions, their sins, their beliefs. the 20th century laid the ground work for women's modern existence. But the 21st century will be the era of men's changes. And women will be left behind no matter how hard they try to deny reality and nature.

This is the most real lesson to give guys: what you want as a man doesn't matter in this society. Want kids? She can abort. Or they might not be yours and in some states the courts don't care if you didn't know when you signed the birth certificate. Want marriage? Your hopes and dreams are only as valuable as you want them to. No one else cares and it is the lowest threshold imaginable.
@TheOzStu Жыл бұрын
They don't even care if you know they aren't yours and didn't sign. Even if you are infertile and can prove it......touch shit. In many states if a woman is married her husband is the legal father of any children she births.

She even filed a Protective Order against me, totally unwarranted and forced her to have it expunged from my record and pay for the legal work to have that happen. Here is a ringer! EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT MARRIED... If you simply live together for a certain period of time, you can STILL get divorce graped.

Yup, in Australia it happens. It's even happened with couples who don't live together! Defacto law sucks. Do not impregnate, co-habitate or marry.

I went through 2 criminal trials I was found not guilty and still lost everything in California. Marriage and children were the worst mistakes I ever made! I would have been a millionaire!!!!

Same here. I could have been a millionaire by the time I was 40. At no time was marriage worth it.

The funny thing about all this is that the Shawshank Redemption is basically the story of like 50% of men now... woman cheats, man's life destroyed. It was supposed to be the rare situation and now it's so commonplace...

Cue up CGA's "I'm NOT HAPPY! Boo Hoo Hoo!" Marriage has truly become the BIGGEST/WORST joke of ALL time.

I remember being told as a kid growing up to watch out for those evangelical Christian’s they got the highest divorce rate of them all. It’s basically the feminist wing of Christianity I’d say.
