Shiva is the Destroyer, but it is cyclical because creation can't happen without Shiva's actions. Everything is about renewal and reincarnation. Nothing dies without rebirth to follow. It's rather comforting. Thank you taking me along with you.

THIS is the comment I was looking for … thank you! Actually the guide should’ve mentioned this, that Shiva just doesn’t go on about destroying things by his will and fancy. He is the destroyer so that new things are born.. As you rightly mentioned, it’s Renewal and Reincarnation… 🙏👍🏻

Definitively its comforting. He is destroyer of negativity, sorrow, ego. He signifies that ' it too shall pass'. He is also represented as Time itself.

I have been to India perhaps 30 times, North to South, west to east, all of it is beautiful, magical, the buildings, the carvings, the paintings, the colours and of course the people. One says even if you have been to India a thousand times you will never see it all. I admire you for taking your 2 little ones on this extraordinary trip combining the culture and the nature. As we got older we have spent the last 6 years in Goa, so cannot wait to see your next vlog. I get that it has been difficult at times travelling with your 2 boys but I am sure Crusoe will remember some of it and will give him the taste for travelling like you have. Michele Folds.

The obstacle for restoring houses is not just finance. The major problem is the long legal battle between the present members of the family. There are probably fifteen families fighting a 30 year long legal battle for the ownership of that place. Unless that is settled, nobody can restore anything. Sad truth.

400 years old cities like Agra, Varanasi and old Delhi are having conjusted and narrow roads and low maintained Buildings. But that's not entire India. That's just 0.0001% of India. And There cities in India where people from different places of our planet can come and stay like Gurugram, Noida Bengalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Indore, Thane , Pune, Coimbatore, Kochi , Trivandrum, Hyderabad , Ahemdabad Etc. Those cities has World class infrastructure . But those part I don't why never been shown. Dear Newby family, I am forever grateful to see India through your travels. India as a 3rd world country, seldom do we see the antiquity and rich history of India. You have shared its valuable place in history and how the Western civilization has taken its architect wonders and brought them to the New World. I see sensory overload in the air polluted, crowded cities of India and how your young family has responded to the differences. Not bad, but different. Isn't that why we travel? To explore the world through your mindset and eyes is a wonder in itself. God bless your family. 🥰

My family had a multi multi generational home like that which you saw at those home ruins, it was on a 2 acre land 12 bedroom home. I had a chance only to visit it once. Unfortunately it was destroyed in 2006 Gujrat Earthquake. I wished we still had it and I would do everything to restore it. Though I live in Canada now, thanks a ton ton ton to bring those memories.

The way John Lovingly touched the ornate ancient wooden doors show his appreciation for the craftsmanship and history. The Grandeur of Long Ago India. Ive always been drawn to antiques too especially doors. Seeing how welcome you are by the locals in these far away third world cultures makes me ashamed of the lack of humanity and hospitality in places like my home country America. Religion here is so materialistic and judgmental. Many so called Christians wont congregate with others they deem beneath them, the non believers. But opening your heart to all others is the true meaning of Spiritualism in my opinion. After all the Jesus I believe in opened his heart to all. He was a lovong God how did it all get so misconstrued ???? I was moved by your description of such a sincere blessing from a Holy man you received in Beautiful India OXOOX John is so RIGHT ON the world would be a better place. OXOXOOXO

Use Ola or Uber for cab services. And Avoid visiting old cities like Old Delhi, Agra and Varanasi. Instead visit the newly made cities like AeroCity in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, pune , Thane Etc. south India has lot to explore it has many UNESCO World Heritage sites ( Must visit) . Also you guys can visit Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar to experience India's White beaches and coral reefs. If travel can be planned precisely even its easy and safe for solo Female Travellers to travel in India too beside family Travellers. And in Big tourist places Foreigners often get unwanted starred and selfie request because the people who Gomes from rural India they get surprised to see foreigners. But it's not something dangerous just basic human curiosity just avoid it. Otherwise it's great to explore India. But sad part is that just because of slight Negativity India's image today has impacted negatively while in reality India is preety safe and offers diverse Exposure to spend Amazing holidays. I hope you understood ❤️ from 🇮🇳

And one more thing the pollution in Agra and surroundings get rises from November to March because Farmers burns Agri waste. So Government is setting up Ethanol plants to reduce pollution and masterplan to redevelop those cities. Entire India is not polluted and dirty and not filled with Tuktuk scammers. Those cities are just 0.0001% of entire India. India has lot to see and explore apart from Taj Mahal so please don't feel negative have trust and visit those above mentioned places.

Thank you for this. It was lovely to see the area where my grandfather grew up. His father was a missionary in Utter Pradesh and my grandad came back to Britain in 1901 speaking nothing but Urdu. However, as none of his grandparents (who he stayed with on the family’s return) spoke it he soon reverted to English. He spoke Urdu as his ayah (nanny) spoke it to him and his siblings.

Missionary meaning, his job was to convert people of other religions into his religion I guess? No offense, but Abrahamic religions constantly try to convert others into their religion by force, money, or by any other means, this is the cause of all wars to this day. God has no religion is what NDEs say. NDE=Near Death Experience, those who were pronounced clinically dead, come back to life.

400 years old cities like Agra, Varanasi and old Delhi are having conjusted and narrow roads and low maintained Buildings. But that's not entire India. That's just 0.0001% of India and entire India is not unmaintained or polluted except those small regions. In reality there are cities in India where people from different places of our planet can come and stay and currently many are living like Gurugram, Noida Bengalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Indore, Thane , Pune, Coimbatore, Kochi , Trivandrum, Hyderabad , Ahemdabad Etc. Those cities has World class infrastructure . But those part I don't know why never been shown by World media or even by influencers. Although Government has brought a Masterplan to Redevelop those old cities and setting up Ethanol plants to reduce pollution around Agra. Hoping that those issues will get fix within couple years. And that's the reasons India is World's fastest Growing Nation and is emerging as Global Economy.

Thanks for brining us along. I don't imagine I'll ever get to India so it's been great to see through your eyes and your camera lens. That shot of a sleeping Sawyer at the end just instantly brought me back to my early days with my boy. Ah, those days were more precious than I ever knew.

What a fabulous vlog, you look so much more relaxed and happy. The buildings were stunning, so sad that they are slowly going to disappear forever. The boys are having an absolutely amazing time and Crusoe is so interested in everything ( unless he is sleep 😂) it’s lovely to see. Very happy family memories you have made xx

We liked watching this part of India...more peaceful and picturesque. Everyone looks more refreshed and energized. I didn't know India got that cold. The wooden doors reminds me of the beautiful doors we saw in Zanzibar. Each door had a different design and a special meaning to the family. John i could imagine you starting up a business refinishing all those doors.
