So actually, the Cipher wheel wasn’t supposed to be anything. It was merely a gag at the end of the theme song. But Alex saw how the fandom took it and ran with it and decided to write it into the story.

Ford knew his brothers character, he knew how his brothers Temper is, yet he decided to correct him at a pivotal moment when he needed him to work with the others. I am sorry, that one is on Ford. his fault.

OMG, how did I never realize that Bill Cipher is singing "We'll Meet Again", the ending song from Dr. Strangelove in this epiode when he is trying to convince Ford to help him destroy the bubble surrounding Gravity Falls? For those who are unaware, "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" is a satirical movie from the 60s about the absurdity of nuclear deterrance, and without giving away too much, that movie fits Bill Cipher and his "Weirdmageddon" very nicely.

I've heared rumors about Alex Hirsch having to fight tooth and nail to get Disney to approve the inclusion of this song (Copyright is expenisve and all), basically begging them to let him have this moment. He had recently watched Dr. Strangelove and the ending scene must have really struck a chord with him on a thematic level.

Rewatching Gravity Falls as an adult includes realising that Ford was a pain in the arse. Like, Bill wouldn't have been able to get his hands on the crack between dimensions if he had told Mabel about it. But he didn't because he probably thought that only Dipper was smart enough to understand it. And don't get me started on him correcting Stan's grammar. Like, I care about grammar too, but this is the end of the world and you're correcting your short-tempered, estranged brother when your lives are at stake? Come one

Ford confidently correcting Stan incorrectly is so frustrating for me. It's frustrating because he just couldn't help himself, and it's even more frustrating because he is also wrong. -They're both wrong.- The order of the pronouns is irrelevant.
