If you didn't notice, Bill always addressed dipper and mabel as pine tree and shooting star. And in Dreamscapers, he called Soos "question mark" and in Ford's dream, he referred to him as "six fingers". Bill always knew who everyone would be in the zodiac, even before actually meeting them

@@noyoso4972 When Bill meet Mabel, she wasn't wearing the shooting star sweater, since her shirts change every episode, and just because they have the symbols on them doesn't mean that Bill wasn't talking about the zodiac signs. You think his nicknames for them just so happen to be the same as their symbols in a show like Gravity Falls, where they love to put little details like this?

Gravity falls isn’t a real place but their is a place called Boring Oregon that Alex Hirsch passed by as a kid and he imagined “what if, even though the town is called Boring, it was actually secretly the most interesting place?” And this was part of what inspired Gravity Falls. However the statue of Bill at the end is real. It was hidden in a forest somewhere and there was this big ARG thing to find it after the end of the show

It’s so interesting seeing someone react to this who wasn’t part of the fandom. EVERYONE who watched this show as it was airing knew about the circle with all of the symbols, because fandom theorists talked about it constantly, and everyone had their own ideas for who each symbol was. When Pacifica put on the llama sweater, there was this little sting that played as if it was a reveal, and that’s because it WAS a reveal to people watching at the time. It was fun to see how the ending read to someone who didn’t have that same viewing experience.

Regarding Pacifica and llamas- The Northwest Family is always represented by llamas, they were in their paintings in the episode Northwest Mansion Mystery and Pacifica had a llama plush in the comic book Lost Legends

Therefore, the "Achilles' heel" line. There's actually a CRAZY theory going on by Matpat and the rest of the community. You should really check it out at some point if you enjoyed the mystery factor of Gravity Falls.

Stan gets a lot of hate sometimes but I actually love Stan. A lot of people don’t realize that Ford is JUST AS BAD AS STAN. He decided to provoke Stan after Stan already gave him what he wanted because he has a major superiority complex and a TOTAL narcissist most of the time. Stan may have messed up when he was 18 but after that he really was just trying to survive. Stan didn’t mess up Fords life at all really. Ford may not have been able to go to his dream college, but honestly going to “backupsmore” or whatever really just seems like he didn’t try to go for a better college. But either way, he actually ended up spending his life working on something that he was very passionate about and if it wasn’t for his own superiority complex he probably could’ve lived a relatively good life but he pushed it and let Bill manipulate him. Stan literally gets NO CREDIT until he pretty much kill’s himself. When he dedicated 30 YEARS OF HIS LIFE TRYING TO FIX THE MESS THAT FORD CAUSED. Stan isn’t perfect by any means but damn I do like him more than Ford.

you should react to "between the pines" its very good the parallels between stanley and bill go way back, they say the same stuff and act in similar ways. It is said that bill's biggest crime was destroying his home dimention in exchange for power and here the paralells get bigger because when stan is faced with the same oportunity, he refuses. Bill's biggest weakness is his lack of feelings, thanks to that he will never understand how relationships work and how people can help each other without any other motives and that is why he was defeated, in his mind, there was no way someone would sacrifice themselves for other people (the way stanley sacrifices himself to save the town's people, his family, loosing himself 'forever') and that is why he didn't even think twice when 'ford' accepted to make a deal with him. In his head he thought he won, but in the end the simplest action's were the ones that had the biggest impact Its also very sad that stan disappeared (when his mind got erased) thinking that he never had done anything nice in his life

I would 100% watch a slice-of-life spinoff series about how the characters' lives continue into the future. At least, as long as it made sure to check in now and then with the minor characters too -- McGucket and Gideon and Bodacious T and all the rest. Because there isn't a single boring character on this show, not even Tad Strange, and all of them were changed so much by the finale.

Well, at the end of the day it was a kid show on disney plus, regardless of it would have been better or not, there’s no way the execs would let that pass. Also, the implication was more that it took some time for him to fully recovery his memory, since the show was ending though and they literally only had one episode, there wasn’t much time to express that passing of time, besides not everything has to be depressing to be impactful, sometimes it’s fine to just have a happy end.
