the more i listen to wilbur's version and lovejoy's version the more i can tell the difference between the two atmospheres. the emotion in this version feels really negative and you can tell he was going through something when he wrote this. meanwhile, with lovejoy's version, it's a lot more upbeat and shows that he's moved on. i love this song.

I think this is my favorite Wilbur song. It sounds really good but the lyrics are just the best part. A lot of his song tell a story, but the way he wrote this song/story just feels more angry/uneasy. Wilbur is just good at writing lyrics in general.
