I love both versions so much they both are so close to my heart it also shows how good of an artist wilbur is being able to create two very different emotions of the same lyrics (I know they changed the it’s ok part but other than that) i’m so glad they remade it because when I first heard the old version I was feeling how the song felt and now I listen to the lovejoy version and feel so free and amazing like i’ve overcome so much since then so yeah I love this song

overused analogy but it's literally like a moth, or butterfly. catepillar-og version, cocoon-one day, incel trilogy, things are moving and changing around it while its going under changes, moth/butterfly-lovejoy version, finally its full fruition, fascinating how much instruments can aid a song

Wilbur so far has two types of songs, emotional and funny, he pulls both off flawlessly The emotional songs kind of connect with you and the simple rhythms stick in your head. Then the lyrics just paint this perfect picture that just pull you in. The funny ones are a perfect use of wordplay and the surroundings. They also utilize internet jokes that turn a pitiful story to a funny tune that you sing with your friends at 3 in the morning. Wilbur is a very talented artist and I’m thrilled that so many people love his songs and feel the way I do Edit: It’s been a bout a week and this comment is almost at 1,000 likes wtf I thought this would just get ignored- Anyways obligatory thank y’all so much💜 Edit p.2: A challenger approaches… With the release of the beloved Lovejoy comes a third type, joins the battle. Now I categorize these partly under the funny section, not because of humor, although there are great lines that make me laugh. They are a branch of the funny tree, they keep the energy of songs like “Your New Boyfriend” and make it their own. But they do also relate to the singing with friends, but I get more singing on a road trip vibes Thanks for coming to my Ted talk, I will update according to new releases and edit when the styles change (if I remember, it’s a Ranboo type beat yk?) EDIT P.3: WE DID IT BOYS! NEW EP IS OUT AND WHEN I TELL YOU I SCREAMED ITS ALL FUTILE IM TELLING YOU I DID. Anyways, the only perfect way to describe it was as one commenter said, “it’s like YCGMA and Are You Alright had a child”… definitely gonna go on the emotional branch, it just leans a little closer to the funny for reasons stated above, have a fantastic 24hrs everybody!

This song reminds me of my first relationship, I was so naive, he took everything he could from me, but then he stayed. I felt so so trapped for so long in that relationship I felt so oddly dependent on the man that was using me, I’m so glad I’m not in that part of my life anymore. To anyone out there reading, things do get better, I know it doesn’t mean much but I promise they do.

Whenever I have a panic attack or can't stop crying, I put in my earbuds and listen to this album. Something about the homemade acoustics and the simple but effective lyrics help me calm down. It doesn't matter where I am. I can just listen to this album and my problems seem to melt away into the lyrics. I'm going away to college to live on my own for the first time in a week. Nothing will be familiar and I know I'm going to take it hard. But as long as I have this album I know I'll be alright, if only for the few minutes of peace these songs grant.

Tracklist 00:00 // Maybe I was Boring 02:10 // For Memories 05:39 // White Wine in a Wetherspoons 09:08 // It's All Futile! It's All Pointless! Lyrics - 00:00 // Maybe I was Boring he never had cool stories he doesn't make your heart beat used to love his mystery but now he's just exhausting another day spent just laying in his room the stench of incense and some undelivered food and she thought what if he thinks i'm the one? and i'll be forced to rot away with him and his obsessions with trivial things like the amount of fucking love hearts i finish a text message with and when you hold his hands it doesn't feel like flying and when you take his breath away he might as well be dying and you're dying to breathe you're trapped in his cage and it's shrinking and she thought what if he just never leaves? or he doesn't get the message and he doesn't hear my pleas? so she just started screaming why can't he just bore me to death? why can't he just bore me to death? oh, why can't he just bore me to death? why can't he just bore me to death? oh, why can't he just bore me to death? why can't he just bore me to death? oh, why can't he just bore me to death? Lyrics - 02:10 // For Memories we all move on some faster than others we all know we all sacrifice in a bath late in the evening building up sorrow but i can't say that i wasted my time 'cause i'm built by you and i can't say that i am glad it is over 'cause that wouldn't be true so thank you oh, thank you we both remember that day in the summer when you were sat on me and we cried oh, how we cried in that moment we've never been so happy but i can't say that i wasted my time 'cause i'm built by you and i can't say that i am glad it is over 'cause that wouldn't be true so thank you oh, thank you all i can say is thank you but i can't say that i won't miss you Lyrics - 05:39 // White Wine in a Wetherspoons one, two, three, four bouncer greets us at the door he can tell we've been here before so he lets us pass and we climb up fifteen flights of stairs and find that spot in the corner just over there it's only six-thirty but we're starting to drink i'm ordering the usual i think i need a change of pace london's bursting at the seams it's not quite the place i hoped i'd be it's white wine in a wetherspoons it's fine dining with cheap perfume it's country walks down the motorway how many drugs have you done today? a bird flew into my window a few hours ago while i was home alone. it happens pretty often and i don’t usually think anything of it, but for some reason i decided to go outside and check on the bird when i found it lying on its side breathing heavily. i started crying, which was weird cos i don’t usually get emotional over things like that. i knew i couldn’t touch it but i wasn’t going to leave until it either got better or died. i sat next to the bird and played this playlist about two times through whilst crying until the bird finally got up onto its stomach. a few minutes later it flew up into a tree in my backyard. this playlist can rlly help me cope w anything

I really don't get why he didn't like these songs. They just hit so much, I can't explain it. It feels like staying up all night with a loved one and watching the sun slowly rise. Especially White wine in a Wetherspoons, it just sounds like having A sleepover in a house next to a busy street with your friends, having fun and feeling the night pass and watching the sun shine afterwards. Calm with slight chaos. It's amazing how different experiences we all have but still relate to the same songs.

I fucked up, because of being terrible at holding a basic conversation and my inability to express my feelings I've been ghosting him for almost two years now. I was planning to say sorry for all the shit ive put him through and to say thank you, because hes the reason i started to actually work on myself. Words "So thank you. All i can say is thank you" appeared in my head out of nowhere. Thats how i got here once again, thankfully in a much better shape.
