MGE (aka My Gaming Edge) is a custom setting on community servers were you and another player battle in a 1v1 using the settings found in comp such as No Random Crits and Fixed bullet spread. I do hope you are able to react to the rest of the series, but if not you should still watch them just because they are soo good.

Few things I’d like to explain Scout is arguably the best combat class in the game, not just in 6s but in other forms of Competitive and in casual. This is because his damage output is on par with the heavy hitters of TF2 like Soldier, Demo and Sniper. Combine that with a smaller hit box and a LOT more mobility options when in fights and you have a menace of a class who can win almost any 1v1 if a sentry isn’t involved. Heavy isn’t as powerful as you think he is. He’s a very slow and large target that loses to a bunch of 1v1s because of how vulnerable he is. Scout also arguably counters Heavy because Scout can run around Heavy and jump over him to make it harder for the Heavy to hit him. When Lazy put the thing on screen about a good place to start comp, he was talking about community made competitive leagues (that do have their own websites). The reason comp leagues are all community made is because the ingame comp is really really really bad

@@theduckgoesmoo it was only added because at the time comp started to get really popular (not just with TF2 but with other games as well, specifically Overwatch if I remember correctly but I could be wrong) so Valve tried to implement their own competitive ranked matchmaking which flopped because it was rushed and was never touched since. If you wanna play it now you gotta wait 10 to 20 minute queue times for either a possible disconnect at the beginning (forcing the game to end) or a 6v6 game with a hacker (which wouldn’t be so bad if you’d be able to kick people but the ingame comp doesn’t have a vote kick system). I wouldn’t say completely stay away from it because if you have a few friends it can be pretty fun. I’d just advise for you to have it queue in the background while you play casual or in a community server so you’re not doing completely nothing for 10 to 20 minutes.

@@datboy038 I wasn’t counting Medic because that’s literally just obvious and common sense but I’ll edit my original comment to make it further obvious that I’m talking about combat classes specifically. As for Soldier and Sniper, you can make an argument for Soldier but it isn’t the case for Sniper, at least in 6s. Scout has more control over 1v1s than both Classes and can shred through enemies faster in mid fights. If Sniper had mobility options so he can fluctuate between getting to mid, pushing in, and backing out, he’d be easily the best class in every form of comp, but that isn’t the case. 6s is very fast paced compared to Highlander where Sniper dominates. Most of the time, Sniper doesn’t work for anything other than hard pushes to the enemy’s 2nd or last because he can’t reach places fast, he gets caught out easily, and has little protection (now ik the same could be said about Med with the protection part but if you’re running the 6s meta, you have 2 Scouts, 2 Soldiers, and a Demo for protection so you aren’t relying on one Scout or Soldier and then a Sniper who has longer intervals between shots making missed shots a LOT more punishing). But like I said, Sniper is a lot better in Highlander due to its slower pacing and more protection (specifically from the combo, which is the Med, Heavy, Demo, Pyro and Sniper) so he has to worry about less and can get more done. As for Soldier, he just gets more overwhelmed than Scout when more than 2 enemies are on him at once. Sure he’s able to jump out of there but if he can’t, he’s left as a slow and big target who cant maneuver around enemy shots or projectiles whereas Scout is not only is small and fast, but also has the same damage output as Soldier giving him more leeway to take on and possibly win a 3v1 scenario. Edit: also, before you say that I’m completely wrong, I literally main Sniper and have 964.7 hours on the class alone as well as multiple seasons of Highlander experience (as Sniper, Spy, and Pyro) and a few seasons of 6s.

@@datboy038 Sniper's only good in Highlander where it's only strong because of the team support. It's an alright class in Highlander and decent in pubs. Medic's better of course in terms of raw impact (but a very poor combat class which is what OP was talking about) and Soldier's not super strong.

And I hope we get to see you react to the behind the scenes videos as well as the "How it feels to SUFFER in SFM" cause that video is just plain hilarious, but don't watch it until after you watch the "How it FEELS to Play Engineer in TF2". And I'm hoping perhaps after reacting to Lazy purple or even in the middle of doing so you'd consider reacting to Fawful's Minion's video "Top Nine Weapons in TF2"? The guy doesn't animate in his videos but he makes up for that in spades with his wit, charm, occasional introspection, and just how funny he is, and I think you'd really enjoy his content. Besides that he desperately needs more attention to.

On the topic of 1v1 in TF2, like Lazy said, he was on an MGE server. Those are community servers with a custom gamemode of 20 kills deathmatch in which you conpete against 1 other person to greatly improve your skills, and realize how far you have to go before you are good at the game.

Kyle i feel like the reason why you keep dying against tanky classes is because you use the force of nature, it only has 2 shots and if you dont hit EVERY SINGULAR PELLET, you can't even kill a Demoman. With a Stock scattergun you have 6 shots and can easily deal 100 damage per shot

People play with viewmodels off for a variety of reasons, but my main understanding is because some reload animations block a fair portion of the screen, which obviously isn't that great for being aware of what's going on...

@@theduckgoesmoo to clarify Scout does run up 17 to 22.2 mph. Edit: though it doesn’t show in-game, drinking Bonk makes Scout fast enough to dodge bullets, so I believe he can achieve speed levels to dodge bullets.
