Kergen185 I literally never hear that from anyone. I feel like I know exactly what type of ppl Rohan, Okuyasu, Yukako etc. are I feel like I barely know Fugo & Narancia & Trish. Giving a backstory isnt the same as characterization i.e. showing character through action, pt 4 theres a lot of the latter & in pt 5 theres little of the latter & a shit ton of the former. but like I I hinted at the end of my comment, I think pt 5 is more for people who are interested in the concept of something rather than the execution while me Im all about presentation so yeah. different strokes.

I actually hear that a lot about part 4, though I don't really agree with that myself. Just like how I don't agree with you about part 5's characters. I don't know if you only read the bad scan or something, but part 5 has some of the best characterization in the series. And as someone who loves Part 5, I don't like it just for the concept, but for presentation ,writing, fights, characters, art, etc. Along with Part 4 I think Part 5 is Araki at his best! But anyway who cares. We're just going to keep on disagreeing so why not agree to disagree, but agree that JoJo is pretty cool.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I can see what you mean, there are a lot of issues I have with part 6 but I still love the characters, the overall art and design. I do want to finish reread the part now that I'm caught up with the series and see how I feel about it now. I was actually writing a script or essay for a video I want to make (not that I've ever made an analytical video before) addressing the problems with part 6 and really seeing why I did not enjoy reading this part as much as the other parts. I also want to make this video because I'm used to people saying "Don't trash part 6 it's one of the best parts" without giving any reason unlike what you just did.

The costume designs take things too far, even for JoJo. The pacing is basically a worse Part 3. Aerosmith vs Littlefeet nearly had me quit out of boredom. The fights aren't particular interesting or memorable, and the characters are all flat without any interesting stories. Diavolo sucks as a villain. Doppio was interesting but Diavolo himself was boring (basically a much more unstable Kira but without the great screentime/presence), and his final fight was woefully anticlimactic. KC was overpowered and as a result, GER had to be insanely overpowered which made the fight completely one-sided. Part 5 has literally nothing to do with any other Part, making it feel inconsequential, almost like a filler arc. I mean, even when the sons of DIO are all drawn to Florida in Part 6, Giorno is mysteriously absent. Almost like Araki knew GER was way too OP and couldn't have it in Part 6 if he wanted Pucci to win.
