Well as you know I'm usually late to the party in getting wagons, and these were no exception. What I was trying to do in to try and place it somewhere nicely in my train plan, and low and behold in managed to fit it in.
The idea was to get a 30 wagon rake, yes that's right 30 wagons. I'm up to 23 but a managed to find 5 Cavalex TEA tankers for sale when me and my bro were exhibiting his layout 'Geeksville' at Stamford Model Train Exhibition.
As the temptation was to strong and thinking this is an opportunity not to be missed I brought them.
Going back the Revolution Trains TEA Tankers, well they are amazing and dripping in beautiful details from they details bogies to all warning signs being legible. I brought some from Train 4U, Coastal DDC, Kernows models (only one) and six from a great friend who 'brought too many' X6 EWS.
I think it's easier to list the colours that I don't have, Freightliner and I think the only other one is the light green.
I paid all shop prices for these £48 something and thankfully my friend had 6 EWS tankers and he gave me first dibs......I can't turn something like that down, specially when some Revolution Train EWS tankers are going for around the £325 for 4......I think not....not unless I needed to finish the train off.
For this little running session I owe massive thanks to my bro for allowing me to use his incredible Hattons Cemex GBRf Class 66.
Enjoy
