So I have a theory - if Anthony had met Kate for the second time before Kate overheard him being an asshole, I think that Anthony would have gone straight to courting Kate - even if he didn't realize it. He even admitted during their second meeting that he had been wondering whether they would meet again.

Confession I always loved Anthony I always knew that he had some inner demons and I couldn’t wait 2 see it that I went straight to reading book 2 !!! I loved the 1st meeting how we see him being a rake and bored of the ladies enters Kate riding a horse astride like a bad ass & he is just SMITTEN . We did not see that smile in Any of season 1 or 2 before Kate entered. I love that he is subtly asking if she is married and cracking jokes when we never see that. He is always so stoic . Boy was in LOVE even the second meeting he was so happy to see her again and reconnect. I enjoyed seeing Kate smitten and wanting to know more until he opened his mouth with his dumb list lol . I love how she called him out he needs someone who will challenge him as well as call him out when he is being dumb ! The chemistry between Jonny and Simione is 🔥❤️😍

S1 Anthony made me angry but I could NOT stop watching him. I Love and hate him. He's emotional, irrational, and impulsive. The opposite of what he wants to be. He treated Sienna horribly but he is so messed up emotionally. Same for S2 until episode 5 when he caught a clue. Finally

I have quite literally been watching reactions on the second season of Bridgerton every day for the past week because after two years I am still obsessed with this season and after watching it so many times it leaves me to wonder how other people view it and if others have picked up on the things I have picked up on and I have to say your reactions are everythingggg. It's almost like we share a brain cell lol. One thing I will never forgive the writers for is how they skimped out on Kate's story for the Featheringtons storyline which was the least bit necessary. It would have been the perfect addition to the season. In my delusion, I have even found the perfect episode they could have included it in which would have been episode 7 after Kate and Anthony's feelings come to the surface. It would have been amazing to see Kate grow up and for us to know why she is the way she is and why she feels the way she does. It hurts even more that we will never get it because including it in a season that is not their own wouldn't make much sense.

You’re so right, that first meetup in the park when they were horse riding was such iconic, Disney fairytale level stuff! Her joy and giddiness at his praise, his first huge grin at seeing her after being desolate & stressed for so long! I keep watching it for the serotonin boost too, lol! 😍 And I love your breakdown of that moment of Kate holding that dress and then telling her sister about the true love she deserves to find, when that’s what she’s been secretly longing for all along, but never allowed herself to have b/c she kept making all these emotional sacrifices for her family. Just like Anthony worked so hard & sacrificed himself to duty to give his family the life they deserved. And no one sees their quiet sacrifices & the weight of them. 😭 You really put that all together in that moment for me & made it so much deeper than when I first watched it! ❤️ And totally agree with you about the Featheringtons! I am the only one who enjoys the Featherington plot? I find them really entertaining as morally grey characters, trying to survive socially by any means necessary. I think it really adds to the show. 14:50 i get that kate is just trying to protect her younger sister, i get that edwina is so much younger and all, but i personally wouldn't have kept that secret from her. we tend to underestimate younger people and their maturity, i know i did that with my little sister, and keeping them from making decisions is not the best way to get them to grow. look at how edwina handled the shitshow at her wedding. like a QUEEN. just saying--

I personally never saw Kate as underestimating Edwina here. Imo, all she did throughout the season was because of a "cinderella syndrome". She thought she had to take on all burdens and let her sister be constantly happy and worry-free so she could repay her stepmom's "kindness". If she had told Edwina about this, it would have made her worry, and God forbids Mary's biological child becomes troubled with something! Self-sacrifice at its best haha

The volume of Bridgerton in your PiP video is too low; & the volume of your reaction to it, is too loud. Although we've watched it already, part of the enjoyment is re-experiencing some of the scenes through the eyes of the reactor by seeing them again, & by the dialogue being audible enough *to hear* again. You need to find the happy equilibrium for the next season.

you mean back and boring as ever.Season 2 still can't compete with Season 1, Season 1 love story and the Simon Character was waaaaaaaay better than the Anthony character, many of the characters in season 1 was better, season 2 was boring and they tried to much to follow season 1 love chemistry and it Fail, season 2 fail for me as a male viewer who hate period drama, but liked Season 1, The Simon SUAVE cool character made me finish season 1, season 2 lost 75% of the male viewers, i could not finish i kept fast fowarding to see if it will get any better for me because i and most of my friends really don't like the Anthony character he is to typical of the period drama male actor men find boring and dislike, Simon was not the typical period drama male character thats why many especially us men who don't watch that period drama shit liked and could finish season 1, even the songs selections were waaaaaaaay better in season 1.
