Season 2 is easily going to be a hard standard for them to meet with future seasons because the chemistry is ahh!! Also if you two love a good slow burn, enemies-to-lovers, you will enjoy this season for sure!

I watched the entire season 2 in two days, and I must say I absolutely loved it. In my opinion season 2 is so so so much better than season 1. I actually didn't even want to watch season 2 at first because I thought season 1 was kinda boring and not really my thing. I think season two's focused couple has SO much more chemistry and is so much more interesting. :) but that is just my opinion

The people hating on this season because there is less sex and they changed the story from the books kinda annoy me. 1. slow burn is where it's at and having lots of sex does not mean the couple has chemistry or a good relationship. I mean personally I did not believe the chemistry between season ones couple at all. 2. The books are like super similar. Like they have basically the same plots and the author will often do the same things to get the couples together so making changes makes sense to me or we would have had to watch a almost a carbon copy of season one with new actors if they didn't. Sure, there were some stuff I felt could have been cut out or story bits shortened but, overall, the romance to me was really well done.

i agree! i read the books and i actually preferred the story in the show than the books. Anthony and Kates chemistry won me over and made up for most of the changes.

I agree I personally found the first season's couple really boring (tbh I didn't really like the main character) but this season's couple's chemistry is really really good in my opinion. I loved watching them slowly falling for each other. that is so much more interesting to me. :)

I only wish the show had kept the library scene similar to the books. I feel like that was such an intimate moment where they shared emotional vulnerability with each other and it felt like a turning point in their relationship to me. But otherwise I enjoyed this season much more than the first!

Can you blame Anthony for looking for perfection? His family is prestigious and his sister was a literally Disney Princess last year. So perfect that she made one of the highest ranking men in the land wait for it later than anybody else and she still got him. If Anthony was expected no less of anybody else that would jiñe his family then it’s understandable. After all he did spend all last season trying to figure out who deserves a wife with as much pedigree as his sister. Just as they do this season with Edwina except she doesn’t have the pedigree or title or prestige. She a girl in a wealthy broken family that the Queen doesn’t like but she has a protective sister who honestly is the only character this season that matches up to the what Anthony expects. If someone spent their whole life in a family striving for perfection then why would they expect any less of someone of lower status trying to hop on their bandwagon? So it’s understandable that Anthony is the way that he is. I makes sense. He had to run his household years before he was ready. Everything has to be right.

I hated season 1. I'm sorry, but I thought Rege a bad actor, he has no expression at all. I almost didn't watch season 2 because of my dislike for the first season, but thank God I did. I'm in love with Kathony. Best chemistry ever.

I'm honestly surprised you ladies don't love Bridgerton, but I respect it! I was absolutely obsessed with season 1. I'm underwhelmed with season 2, but I enjoyed it enough to remain a fan. I couldn't exactly put my finger on what annoyed me, but I think this season felt cheesier overall. Like, they had "it's season 2, let's go bigger!" syndrome, but it wasn't executed well. I think some of the shot and musical cues choices are really what did it for me. And definitely the character inconsistencies from season 1 to season 2! I hadn't heard anybody else say that, so I'm glad you all and some people in the comments agree with me lol. The chemistry between Anthony and Kate was good, but I wanted to see a little more depth in their relationship. And the ways they chose to show tension... If I saw one more heavy breathing scene, I would have had to take a break for a few days. 😂 I will say towards the middle, I had absolutely no idea how some of the characters would get out of their situations, and I liked that. There are also some great love declaration monologues towards the end. Loved them!
