If you remember correctly… after the battle against Gyutaro, Tanjiro had a fever… not a manga reader but I think that's the point Tanjiro unlocked mark… and of course the fever is risen body temperature and bpm.

Something Vital is needed in Tamayo's research and only Shinobu can provide it. I can't say anymore. But if you just think about it. It will come into view. They have been setting up this union for a long time. Shinobu always wanted to meet a demon she could be friends with. Remember that from season 1? Things are starting to fall in place. The master already knew of Tamayo in season 1 too when he asked Tanjiro to send regards to Tamayo.
