No Spoilers but you guys should go back and rewatch season one. You can connect a lot of things back to this season. Especially everything at the butterfly mansion arc. But I’d recommend The Mountain arc (the one with the spider demons) and the rehabilitation arc at the butterfly mansion. Nothing important but you’ll just realized you been seeing certain characters throughout the series. Like back ground slayers Edit: this goes for all Anime onlys. The lady on the left is a psychic. She always guessing a lot when scenes come up that are kind of open ended or don’t give much details. Also yes Muzan was walking through a barrier of sorts. It’s the wisteria surrounding the mansion burning off on his skin!

if i remember correctly, when they were presenting Koucho (after the fight with the spiders) they were explaining that there are many ways to damage demons besides weapons/meele, they mentuioned the properties of the anti demon flower, and she mentioned that HQ of the hunters was protected by it among other things. The mist/dust and wind effect seen when muzan entered, where the protections being ripped by him, as casual walking, so powerful the defenses were not doing anything, however, the HQ was never meant to dispel demons, as technically no demon would approach, even muzan never thought of it before. Nezuko sun defense triggered all this, and even before entering HQ he had the surveillance network of the banjo demon (or whatever is called the instrument)

It's not smoke, The mansion has wisteria flowers all around and when Muzan is entering the flowers scent is being released and it's trying to stop him but we all know he is no ordinary demon so it's looking like he is walking through smokes.
