I love those cherry tarts. We picked up 3, as we like to pop one or two in when our kids visit. The apple ones are better when sprinkled with cinnamon sugar before baking.

The mushroom ravs are great with their primo jarred roasted garlic Alfredo sauce. I add spinach to the sauce to brighten it up too. Easy dinner for two for less than $8!!

Feeding a cat who's allergic to kibble, I'm delighted to see the return of cans of pureed pumpkin to the shelf. (She has recovered her fur eating that mixed 50:50 with Aldi's tinned catfood.) For some reason, perhaps shelf-space - this is deemed a seasonal product, just as coleslaw has disappeared. Hmmm. Meier is small, lacking in selection, and overpriced in Milwaukee.

My Aldi never had canned pineapple either. I actually don’t think they carry it. I’ve bought the frozen seasons choice pineapple chunks and they’re good to eat as a snack or with yogurt, but I wouldn’t use them for other recipes. Tried adding them to my sushi bowl and it was not good.

I’m happy to elaborate! I bought this the first time a couple years ago and tried it. I loved it! It’s crust is cookie like, but the cake is moist and soft with the cherries and a wonderful almond flavor. It’s just a great balance of texture, flavor and price! Truly my favorite ALDI item ever. I bought many last year and again had to stock up. I just pull one out on occasion; my girls love it with me, so we cut it into thirds!

the almond loaf cake mix was my favorite Aldi item but they discontinued it. it was a cake mix that made an almond loaf with a chocolate topping. i got the apple tea and it is good but a little weak compared to the name brand which i have and compared one to one.

Unfortunately those egg and dairy prices are going to be high so long as the flu persists. Hopefully they can get it under control, soon. And you're right. The pumpkin rolls Aldi sells are EXCELLENT. And they freeze well if you're going to be the only one eating them. The German Week Aldi Finds are coming, too, and always have treats. As you noticed. Thanks for the awesome haul!

I don’t understand why you don’t have a stock of items like flour,butter, and sugar. You should have enough that you don’t have to buy it every week and run out. Aldi has good butter sales at least twice a year and it freezes well. Btw I tried that tart you rave about and I wasn’t a fan.

Aldi purchased SE grocers, Winn-Dixie's,Harvey's supermarkets there are five Winn-Dixie's in my community. Each store employs 50 people Aldi's only has 12 employees per store. With Aldi's coming to my community they've created a net loss of 190 jobs. Aldi's supermarkets are job killers.
