Ive been watching and making short documentaries and informational videos for about 10 Years. I also have been riding Catrike’s since 2014. It is so nice to see Utah Trikes starting to make videos again. It is a wonderful way to inform, educate and get the riders and potential riders better informed and interested in riding. Wish I could spend the last few years of my video carrier just making trike videos. :) Thank you UTs.

Three brakes, two levers. I'm assuming the two front to one and the rear to the other right? So... could you do a video on how to adjust the two brakes on one lever to get even braking?
@cleanseyourpalletllc8057 Жыл бұрын
There are 3 levers the two levers in the front do all of your braking and the rear brake in the back is a parking brake that’s controlled with a hidden 3rd lever

Does ice bend, cut ,shape and weld their frames in the U.K. or do they make it in China? I was hoping you would use the box as the frame jig just so we could see how it's done, I think it's an awesome idea for those who like to do their own assembly and maintenance
@UtahTrikesOnline5 жыл бұрын
ICE frames are made in Taiwan. Maybe we'll do another video with a "box build."

In general, between catriuke, ice, greenspeed and azub, who makes the fastest trikes?

Great video. I am curious why you guys do not design and build your own Trike to sell. There is obvious a strong market out there for this......just curious.

Hello all. Former road rider. Now runner but miss group rides. Looking into trike life. Can anyone give thoughts. Ice vtx flat road, rider cat 2/3, would they be able to do a group ride in the 25ish range? Thanks

How much is this trike 'VTX' as it sits ...Are they shipped assembled to the customer? ...
@UtahTrikesOnline Жыл бұрын
The VTX is priced at $5907 and we ship all trikes pre assembled. All you need to do is do some slight adjustments for yourself so it fits your correctly. You can get more info on the VTX on our website here: www.utahtrikes.com/PROD-11618521.html

Interesting to notice is that for even the lightest and fastest ICE trike like the VTX: - the weight (14 kg ~ 30,9 lbs) is twice as much the weight of a fast racing bike (7 kg ~ 15,43 lbs or less) - all the cables are installed outside the tubes, in any modern bicycle they are installed inside the frame (better looking, more secure, better airflow)
@UtahTrikesOnline5 жыл бұрын
It's unlikely that we'll ever see a trike down in the sub-20lb range, at least not one that could support a wide range of riders. Trikes have an extra wheel, much larger seat, and more complicated steering mechanisms than any bike has. As for the cables, it can be done on a custom basis, but with most trikes being modular to fit a wide range of riders it's a lot more work to route cables and still have it adjustable.

@@UtahTrikesOnline Thx for your answer. 🙂👍 The Velomo trike is probably the lightest Hi-Speed-Trike 9,5 kg ~ 20,9 lbs, Hi-Trike GTI 10,8kg - 13kg ~ 23,81 lbs - 28,66 lbs www.velomo.eu/trikes Perhaps with graphene manufacturers will find a way to make a strong and light frame. Cables: perhaps one can find something ingenious. Or manufacturers could offer fixed frames with e.g movable seats. If trikes are made in such a way that they must fit almost everyone and be adjustable (too much imho), they will always weigh too much. Just my personal opinion. 😎

Gotta appreciate someone who knows their numbers good stuff man. The average guy is not going around racing so super light weight won’t matter to most. My bike makes me very happy
@fatiredflyer4 жыл бұрын
Also, and even more critically for a low trike, interior cable routing would preclude snagging them on or off road debris etc. Zip-ties look temporary and cheap.

You guys need to find some kind of track to show these fast trikes in instead of the streets of town- I get nervous just watching you all ride them with cars all over (understand a lot of people still ride them on streets- I won't ride my GreenSpeed GTO on the street- cars just can't see me well enough to make that a safe option at all) and also-- maybe get some speed numbers and shots in- it's really difficult to tell how fast you're going in one of these compared to a road bike or even a mountain bike. I can regularly get my GreenSpeed up to 20 mph on flat surfaces at my local park where we have a bike-only lane on a 2.5 mile course- but I'd be curious how fast a bike your calling "basically a race car" is for $6k. I spent $400 on my used GreenSpeed and it's being upgraded- but it would be really, really helpful to know what upgrades are worth while to make these things as fast as they can be. I'm still not sure how they compare to a road bike- other then I keep getting past by them!

Nice ride. Lose the rack and get a better set of pedals though. If I.C.E. wants it to be a race bike then make it one!

I would not be bouncing back-and-forth in your view of whatever parts you’re focusing on and then bouncing back up to above the bike view. Let people get a chance have their eyes focus on what part you feature. Count 5 seconds.
