When something goes wrong I think oh good, your in time out! Now a new one! I look at my yarns & think I want to start this & this etc. you just spoke of your Joanne’s not having a lot of yarn. I have to drive 4 hours to a yarn store. Joanne’s, Hobby, or Michaels. Tucson is the closest! So I have to order all mine online. It’s a bummer. Can’t feel it or see the color in person. Most hat patterns turn out too big, so I measured my head, which is right at 21". Then I divided by 3.14 = 6.6". Because I want negative ease, when I crochet top down, I stop when my circle measures 6 1/4". If I'm crocheting the cuff first, then I crochet a 20 3/4" chain. Love your hexi cardi and the new peplum top is going to look so fun!
