Just an old random Australian dude here. Have been watching your progress. How lucky are we to see families like yourselves willing to go to such trouble to come all the way across the globe to live amongst us. Not an easy process. Love and best wishes ❤.

Great stroller/pram, energy saving and light with a great sun hood! Keep on top of these bureaucrats and always be firm, keep copies! I agree, keep mum until you arrive there! We have great online and discount shops here, don't bring too much stuff, esp if you will be moving around initially! Yes, anything is possible, when you have the details sorted, exercise and take regular nana naps! 🤗

Fingers crossed for you . On the weather front , we have had the coolest start to summer in about 20s years , here in Perth , I hope it means a cooler 2024/2025 summer , gosh we are overdue for a cooler one 😂. We are still getting many days under 24C , with the odd hot one thrown in but seriously that is much better than last year when everyday was 35C + for months. 😢. Regional WA is stunning in winter when it's all green and lush and in spring when the wildflowers are out 😊

We'll deffo adapt to whatever gets thrown at us, but I'm secretly hoping for somewhere between 25 - 30 most days with the school runs haha. They're sweaty enough when there's a 2 year old involved! 😂

All good things come to those who wait. I’m so pleased for you and your family. I’ve just had some bad news in terms of getting a DAMA sponsored visa as a heavy goods driver. All the recruitment agencies are telling me I’ve got no chance as they only recruit offshore applicants who are younger on temp work visas. Then they may wish to apply for PR at a later date. I don’t have this luxury being 44 years of age. It’s so infuriating! Even my wife’s company who is located in all states of Australia won’t employ anyone oversees for a sponsored visa. It’s an absolute joke! She’s only 39 but she loses 10 points in May 2025 and accountants are only being accepted with 95 points and above. We currently max out at 85 but this will become 75 in May next year.

Ahh Mark!! This is so frustrating!! If I've experienced anything with this journey, it's that the minute everything feels like a no-go and we give up, something happens to pull us back in and give us hope. So keep going just that little bit further! Mikey was literally told by the dept of education that we should pull our house from sale because it's not likely he would get offered sponsorship for January 2025 start. We ignored that and rather than letting them match him to jobs, he applied to them all directly himself. That was the only reason he got this job - and it was the same person who told him it wouldn't happen that then got in touch to tell him he got the job. Take everything you hear from people with a pinch of salt!

@mstmy7082
@mstmy7082 20 күн бұрын
I'm not sure you should be asking about that personal or overly identitying stuff. I'm sure you're a top bloke, but being a woman myself, I'd not be happy answering that question. She's a woman who will be alone with her young children sometimes, so I'd advise against asking or answering that, especially as she's said it's a small town. She will need time to feel secure and settled, so the best way we can support them right now is by wishing them well. If they need any help or advice, I'm sure they'll let us know, and we can reply and support them by and with our comments. 😊

I get it. The world is full of trolls. However she had previously advised that they were moving to Yanchep. Perhaps she shouldn’t have stated that either. One of my daughter’s best friends teaches at Yanchep therefore the interest. The thought was that my daughter’s friend could possibly assist them somehow. Just a thought.
@mstmy7082
@mstmy7082 19 күн бұрын
@briansowden9355 I definitely see where you're coming from, mateship in action, It's a beautiful thing. It's just Yanchep is larger, I guess, and more a generalised area, more for our reference. I'm sure when they've finally arrived and settled into their new life a bit they will most likely be reaching out of advice, information and or connections to their greater community. I'm sure they are truely touched by all those of us who are invested in this journey with them, and appreciate all our input. It was just a suggestion on my part based on my own response to your post, but not an attack. Please don't feel afraid to reach out and be kind as you have done here, but don’t be too disheartened if she chooses to withhold that. It was also her reluctance in her own video to tell us that small detail that made me add my two pennies worth, lol. 🤗

Ain't a lot of country towns in WA - having lived in a Coastal County town in NSW, it is a very, very different experience/environment to the large village of 1,500 I grew up in England. There it was a 10 minute drive to the surrounding villages. The biggest difference for me was that in country NSW Australia it was over an hour's drive to the next town/village of over 750 people (just the odd isolated house or farm in between) and they were very similar to my home town. Several hours drive to a city. We had all the basic shops and services - but no real choice (thank god for online - but its not 24 hours delivery). Had a GP and pharmacy but anything serious meant a trip to Newcastle or Sydney. Spent a weekend in Sydney every two months or so for more diverse cultural activities and a variety of restaurants. Need to love an outdoor life, nature and bushwalking plus whatever sports (clubs) are dominant. In my case it was golf, bowls, rugby league and being on the coast - surfing.

I can guarantee you that we won't be taking housing away from Aussie's who are in need of it. The housing we are being provided with is specifically for teachers in the regional area - so even if we wanted to offer it to others, we wouldn't be able to.
