My dad worked on this line, he is a H&S consultant and it was his last job before retirement. He worked at TCR, Bond Street and one other. I love the line as all the central London (and many others either side) are wheelchair accessible stations and ramp free trains and it makes my life as a full time wheelie so much easier to get around london.

What a fast year. The Elizabeth Line is awesome and having used it several times, a great testament to excellent infrastructure. I understand in less that one year it became the second busiest rail line in the country. I can remember riding in from Heathrow the first time "purple train purple train" and thinking about the good people who have invited me along on their many rides. Than you Jen for showing me your corner of the country and introducing me to Lorna and her canal adventures, I am eagerly waiting for Geoffs Wales adventure. What a family you are part of.

brilliant vlog i love the Elizabeth line since the core section opened a year ago ive used it several times and ive used Bond st quite a few times since that station opened back in Oct and i love using it as i can now go from Paddington to the East of London faster than on the tube and ive travelled to Farringdon & Liverpool st faster than before it opened awesome work

The Liz line has been amazing for me in getting access via Reading to my narrowboat on the Grand Union Canal and then into the heart of central London, and we can go through to Shenfield via Paddington to visit the mother-in-law without changing onto the underground or using the M25!

The Elizabeth Line should still operate from Shenfield to Reading and add few extra additional services such as Gidea Park-Liverpool Street and Paddington-Hayes & Harlington or Maidenhead at peak times. And maybe add extra trains if needed if Alstom were to manufacture more Class 345s.

I was in London yesterday and rode the Elizabeth LIne It was smooth and fast . Surprisingly it was busy with passengers with luggage heading for Heathrow ,and not packed out with KZbinrs filming everything that moved and even things that didn't. Until yesterday I assumed that the sole reason the railway was built was so that Jen , Jago Lorna, Reece and Geoff with William and Kate could make videos about it.

Glad you enjoyed it Jen. I too went to London on the first day of The Elizabeth Line running through the Central Core. I got a Fast IET Train From Reading to Paddington Elizabeth Line to a few of the Core Stations Canary Wharf Tottenham Court Road of course Paddington i think one other Core Station but unsure which one. I took the Fast IET back from Paddington to Reading. I plan on going back to London either in June or July to Visit all of the other Core Stations and a few of the above ground Stations namely Woolich Custom House Maybe Abbey Wood and also Stratford and have a look around the old Olympic Site as i passed this a few times when it was being Constructed back before the Olympics so would like to see it as it is now.

A very good video. Almost brought tears to my eyes since I fell in love with Elizabeth line and when in London switched to it whenever I want to travel from Stratford to Tottenham Court Road . I don't like Canary Wharf though but only because I almost lost there 10 quid and fortunately a nice bloke told me about it so I didn't in the end. But the station itself makes an impression. Hope to take a train to Reading in July.
