it's beginning to look a bit like a bathroom // school bus conversion episode 4000

this week i got started on the bathroom in the school bus (some people have been concerned that I'm using up all the space in my bus for couches and storage and I'll have no room for a shower. not to fear - i simply decided to put my shower inside of the bathroom rather than the living room)

At 76 I am flying drones and producing videos, and the editing is slow hard work. Those who have never done it don't have a clue how slow and tedious it can be.

I know it's too late for this advice but what I've done is stacked the hole saws on the arbour (the bit that goes into the drill.) So, in this instance, I would've put the 4" hole saw on, then the 3" hole saw, and tightened the whole thing together. There is often enough space. This means the 3" sits lower and creates a pilot for the hole.

From the video it looks like the drain is in the wheel well. That should be interesting when driving over bumps as wheel travels up and down. Hope seal from when driving on wet roads to have water forced up to bottom side of the shower pan. Maybe it it, but didn't show in the video that well. I'm so excited for the progress on the Bus. I came for the school bus conversion. lol. (I'm sure someone will say that with all seriousness, but I can't 😆) Okay, it's true I wanted to see you do this bus thing, but I found something even more real. You are like so many of us, and I say it like that because I'll be 60 this year. If I would have filmed my life 30 years ago it would have looked just like this. A series of never ending ups, and downs. So in a way I'm rooting for you every time I click the "Play" button on your videos. It's hard overcoming my own thoughts, but I always find a way, and so do you. So I'm a fan of the "Emma builds a Birbie show", but an even bigger fan of the "Emma never gives up show", too. So please, share some clips of your time away from the build, because it's a part of your journey as much as what you do with the bus. Without some down time once in a while we all get overwhelmed, and push things off until we lose interest in them. I'm planning on seeing the whole adventure with all the ups and downs. P.S. See, you're getin' better by the day.. It is, the more accurate you are, the better the result will be. Usually the determination and wish of a person determines how good the outcome of a project will be. Some are incredibly sloppy, making things very approximate and saying "It's fine"... even if there are gaps, drafts, leaks... Some are picky and meticulous, which produces perfect results, but requires more effort and time. You're trying to balance out the situation and do nice things with less effort, which I like. The thing I don't really like though, are the wires over the backing... Wires should have been taken care of at the very beginning, routed through channels in conduits possibly fxed in the foam, so you'll have the option to add wires if necessary. 😇 PLanning 101, but it's forgivable being your experimental project! 😉 I know you'll get better with any project and that's called knowledge, which nobody can take away from you. 😁 Cheers, Emma, looking forward to successeful progress and keep yourself safe. 👍
