Imma still hold off for a bit. Prices are still more expensive than they were 5 years ago. I remember when zl1s were selling for 45k with low miles, and they were only 2-3 years old. The 2017 model are 8 years old now and they've been selling for over 50k with more miles

I don't know what wonderland you are living in, but prices have come down just a little bit. nothing more. taking off some of the dealer mark ups does not constitute prices coming down. Not very many buyers were willing or able to pay the inflated prices in the first place.

I think he is letting everyone know to watch in 2025 because things are already starting to drop. Also dealers start getting 2026 cars by june/July. So once December ends, any left over 2024s they will be looking to get rid of them for super cheap by end of jan/Feb especially any left after that point.

A misleading title. What we are seeing are dealers not marking up cars so it looks like there's a sale happening due to the average selling price 1 year ago being lower now. But these prices are still high relative to pre 2020 prices and honestly will remain so due to inflation. I've been tracking m340i prices and they have not really moved much and anything around 40k sells within a month and the longest I've seen is 90 days at a new car dealer on a used model. Maybe less desirable cars are being further discounted but everything that's in demand isn't getting a discount like pre 2020.
