What I believe it means to live a log cabin lifestyle. Building the tiny cabin in town with the community for the Johnny Appleseed festival in Lisbon, Ohio. Also WFMJ tv 21 stops by to talk with Johnny Appleseed.

Thank you! My paw took me to this festival when I was a child in the 1960's! It instilled in me a reverence for the past, the gumption of the people, the skills, the materials, and all they did so that we could be here. Our ancestors made us what we are today. Blessings.

Jerry, my husband and i really enjoyed meeting you (finally) and Robin! we are the ones that came over from PA that you offered your chairs to us, if you remember.. you and i are facebook friends (from the primitive page that we talked about,, or the fact i sounded like your stalker, LOL) we really enjoyed the festival. what a nice quaint little town you represent! and that tiny cabin... WOW!! i absolutely loved everything about it!! you say you aren't a carpenter... pfffft.... you'd put many carpenters to shame and i mean that! to those who havent seen it, you need to make the trip to the festival,, it is well worth it, believe me!! you wont be disappointed!!

Aww, thank you!! It was very nice talking to you both, and I know Robin enjoyed it. I need to get those pictures for your husband as well. Unless I just shoot a video of taking the rotisserie apart. Sorry I didn’t get more time to visit. It was a very busy weekend.

Great job Jerry. Your log cabin makes me want to go down into our woods here on the farm and cut some cedars and build a small cabin back in the woods. I also believe in the simplicity and slow lifestyle of our ancestors...sure makes you healthy and happy. Peace.

You have inspired me to build my own simple cabin as long ago pioneers or an old minor would have had back in the early days of America, but without electricity, very simple wood burning cook stove, a fire place, a table, chairs, a bed or two, oil lamps, a hand water pump for the water. Cool man, love the dovetail logs.. be safe, see ya in your next video, out here in the west at 6800 feet, near a lake, defying the u.s. government and living simple on my private land with heavy treed mountain.. 😊😊😊

Love your content Jerry! New Sub. What a treat watching everyone assembling Johnie's cabin in the Square. I even dated a decendant of Johnie's back in the 80s I grew up in Stone Creek (near New Philly) and my Grampa ran 40 head of dairy in Newcomerstown. Still have friends & family all over that area.

I'm sure you get asked all the time but I live in Belmont county not too far from you - about 90 minutes. Do you ever give tours of your cabin? I would love to see it in person. If not I completely understand. Thank you for your time.
