Jerry I really wish you would start posting of KZbin. I miss reading your stories.

this explains sooo much ty for the information not to many years ago here in texas we had a really bad snowstorm and the house i was in had a fireplace but regardless of how much wood we threw on it we couldn't even heat the room to where we were able to take our jackets off this explains why also im preparing to build my own cabin and the potbelly is going to do the job much better than a fireplace i am curious though the elmira stove does it act similar to the potbelly in the heat extange keeping the kitchen warm as well or would a potbelly be needed for heat in the kitchen as well another question i have is would it be more efficient to run a potbelly at a low fire in other rooms to heat the house more evenly or run the single potbelly hotter to compensate again ty for the information here

That FARM tractor runs "circles"around these so-called compact tractors today. Love to watch someone trying to plant snd cultivate with these new compact loaders. What an iconic machine, I'm still using my father's Case SC with an International pull behind disc, nice job!

Jerry, thank you for keeping the story of a good Christian man, Johnny Appleseed alive. I am grateful for what you do to keep the legend alive and to educate the community. Bless you in this ministry, keep on doing what God has given you to do and the blessings will keep on flowing. Thank you for touching my life this fall. Your words are alive in my mind and heart.

How long did the wood last in an indoor wood burner before you have to replenish it?
@logcabinlifestyle12 күн бұрын
It depends on the wood burner. As much as 12 in my wood furnace and as little as 2 or 3 hours in the pot belly

could have perhaps made a ledge above the fireplace or above on the second floor for a sleeping area, like they do in russia on a traditional petchka. However it would have been built differently possibly with masonry brick or what they use in russia for such a purpose. possibly it's stone also, but built more square and into a corner to utilize a sleeping perch above as part of the design. just a thought. check it out on you tube channels where people still use these today in their homes.

The cooking smells in your kitchen has got to be phenomenal just like in a real house, I prefer the cabin because I grew up cooking like old school and still do and when the dinner is over I can't get any one to leave because they want to eat more and they tell me they are so relaxed and content and they have never been so humbled, they want to live like this, like I said I love the simple life, you just have to adjust, and by the way my turkey was a wild turkey 🦃 whole different way to cook it, thanks for the 📸 video

Had no idea a fireplace was a vacuum until I built my fireplace for my new house that had foam insulation- no drafting! I didn't know I had to vent it. i grew up with having a fireplace with no vent and it was fine. Not mine! Had to open a window for it not to smoke and cracking the window - such suction!

Hey Jerry, I’m joe from NYC and I’m new to your channel. Absolutely loving it! I’m a foodie and this just might be right up your alley . I see that the rotisserie is your favorite. What about a turkey roulade? I totally deboned the turkey without breaking the skin except cutting down the backbone. Learned this on KZbin! I stuffed is and it was a success and now it’s the only way I don’t it. I would love to send you a picture of the turkey but I don’t know how.

Jerry, you probably get tired of these types of questions, but I live in an old church (1850's Appalachian Style) I'd like to build a stone fireplace, but gable end locale is impossible. Outside wall is only ideal spot. Is there an ideal spec requirement for a fireplace/chimney in this setup? Any resources you might have would be much appreciated! Great video btw!

You need to find yourself a good hard workin child producing woman. Get a dozen or so kids to carry that firewood from place to place. Only if they can carry one piece each to start with. Don't feed them too much and you'll make out fine!

I've watch many of your videos. You're a great handyman adventurer pioneer. However, why do you have a such a beautiful dog and never really give her much attention? I mean come one dude. It's obvious you prefer cats so you should rehome the dog to a more loving environment and have your fun with your cats like a cat lady.
@logcabinlifestyleАй бұрын
That’s funny and very typical for KZbin. I don’t even like cats, and lavender is my best friend. You shouldn’t judge people based on what you see in a KZbin video. Kinda the reason I haven’t shot a video in a long time.
@logcabinlifestyleАй бұрын
Ps, dogs-animals are a reflection of their owners. How do you think she got the way she is.
@ConnieTyson-l3oАй бұрын
Anadaker its obvious that if u have no clue what ur talking about u shouldn’t say anything. That dog gets more attention than most kids I know. Hell lavender doesn’t even consider herself a dog, she’s more like a human part of our family. So before u come on here acting like a Karen know ur facts or rehome urself to someone’s else’s videos if u want to judge people
@anadaker3939Ай бұрын
@@ConnieTyson-l3o I’m sorry did I hurt your feelings? Are you going to cry now? Anyway, If the dog is loved like you say she is then that’s all I needed to hear and I will assume you’re telling the truth. Good day.
